This is absolutely lovely. I live way upstate but I've been to NY on occasions. I'm a bit clostrofobic when it comes to too many people in too small a space, but I remember everything being too fasinating to be afraid of. It was huge, lovely, and awe inspiring, but I just didn't feel that magic that every one around me did. I really wish I had though, I'm an observer by nature, and I remember seeing the awe on every one's faces. That was the most special thing to me. Reading this story made me remeber that, and it's just so very well done. I love your discriptions, and it sounds a bit like an opening to me. Like it want's to be explanded upon. But that's me. Anyway this reply is far to long already so I'll leave this at that.

Idril, you know this story fits you so well. Someday... yes someday. It will happen.
The story is absolutely beautiful. The way you describe the city is beyond perfect.
And one other thing, hon, I'm honored and you know exactly what for.
M.

Thank you both very much! Wyvernwings, I'm really claustrophobic too. I can't stand elevators and I never liked going to the movies - I can't even enjoy going to the mall. But that's what makes New York so special to me, I just never got the feeling of being overwhelmed or closed-in. It's really bizarre and it makes no sense, but that's just how it is. I was afraid this story wouldn't seem complete because I was a bit vague with the background information, but I was trying to avoid writing myself in too much detail because I have confidence issues M, there are some things in my life that I couldn't even dream of making more perfect than they already are. I'm honored that you're honored, dear.

Vagueness is a talent as much as description or any other part of writing. When done well vague stories are just as lovely as any other type.
