Well as anyone that knows me knows, World War II is my favorite part of history to study, particularly the holocaust. I think the idea that's been tossing and turning in my head lately about WWII would be excellent for this.

Ok.. now I just have to clarify one last thing. Can something that's prehistory be historical? It's about the first bit of history! Neolithic Rev! Just clarifying.

Well since I'm on the contest panel, I'll answer your question with a: "What the heck, go for it."
We never clarified as to what is history or not. I'm think history is anything that has already happened as long as it's older than a week (a week is still current events, in my opinion), so go for it.

Well I would consider a week ago to be present time as far as this contest is concerned.
I guess when we say history I am refering to something that would be considered a past era. A time where people lived differently than we do now. Yeah technically you could say that with modern developements that could be considered not long ago too. But I think what we are going for (just for this contest) would be at least before the 1970's. There has been sufficient change since then to make this an interesting contest.
Now as far as the historical section on the site goes, it goes all the way up to present day. Because anything that has already happened is history.
But to answer Wyve's question I'd say you idea is great. Go for it.

Hmmm, I have an idea for this, and it's basically because I was working on a history story for another contest entry- basically dealing with the battle of Cullodin or however you spell it XD

I've got it, and it was WW2 afterall.
My story will be based around the infamous Pavlov's House, which cost the germans more casualties than Paris did in WW2.

Wasn't Paris given up without a single shot?
