My people look down on emotions. It's said they can be very hindering in a fight. Why am I not surprised by such a closed minded conception of emotion and personal expression? (Though I must admit, I shun my own emotions, but have started breaking the nasty habit)
As to your culture's love of the fight, well, a battle with the cause of merely being a battle is entire nonsense. Such behavior contributed to the fall of many a race and nation. Such barbaric practices as pointless combat honestly confound me. Thankfully, Myridia's moved well past those dark ages )Although into darker ones...), and realized the importance of the mind.
As for your proposal, dragon, it's plausible, and actually quite likely. Now, if the dragons who'd lived in Myridia had thought a bit more like you, I wouldn't have had to kill them for ravaging my village.

Us Lycans are not like you ancients or dragons. Our minds are just as lethal as our enemies. Each time we revert to our wolf forms we lose a piece of our personality. That is why music has never been a value to us. Just as the dragon said music amplifies emotions. Well anything as strong as happiness, anger, or sadness can activate the wolf gene. Fighting however, helps us train our minds and our bodies. Humans will kill wolves with out a second thought so we learn to fight to defend ourselves. They see us as monsters rather than thoughtful creatures. So before you look down on us understand our history understand our pain.

Oh woe is me, grant us a merciful judgment for our past is troubled!
I do hope you notice that I'm talking about humanity's customs with music, I don't practice them myself, seeing as though I have no connection with humanity. Also, I am not numb to your plight; I'm cursed with a beast form as well, though mine would be quite permanent if it took control...
Either way, words often are a much better substitute that battle. Humans aren't as idiotic and prejudiced as they once were, but rather, are more ignorant of our existence.

You know for an ancient you have an interesting humor. My race does not pretend that because our past is troubled that we deserve to be treated "mericifully" as you say. But the simple fact is we Lycans don't need music.

Isn't lust and rage the key to battles though? At least, it's the key to flames. Emotions are not aproved of, but they aren't dissaproved of either. They are simply part of us.

OF course you don't need music. You apparently live for the fight, which has multiple interpretations in my eyes.
Actually, dragon, I'd never gotten to properly study your species. I would be most honored to visit the realm of your people.
THe same applies to you, Lycan.
(We could totally do that as an rp on THW. A cultural exchange of sorts)

Isn't lust and rage the key to battles though? At least, it's the key to flames. Emotions are not aproved of, but they aren't dissaproved of either. They are simply part of us. Lust and rage may give you power but it doesn't give you wisdom. Our wolf forms are powerful and affective but they're like double edged swords. In that form we can't control ourselves and can no longer tell the difference between friend or foe. The beast form makes one feel angry and confused. In those terrible moments the only thing that makes sense is destruction. Thats why emotions become a hindrance to battle for us wolves. (and yea this would be a great Rp)
