This poem is dedicated to a person who meant a lot to me.
Fall From Spring
In spring he was free. He fought hard. He fought strong. With sword in hand He won everything. Flashing metal Carved away the pain. “Remember the good When you think of the bad.” Was what he told me. When fall came The dark drew closer. Along with the fall Came the end of warmth. Green turned to gold, To brown, To crimson. The fall Has claimed another summer. Another spring. He lies in the gold leaves, His bed now red and gold. He will sleep, now, In the fall. His eyes calmly closed. His dreams never ending. Forever will fall Be his companion. Forever will he wait To see the eyes of his spring. The eyes untouched by fall. His love. Where ever she may be.
