I think it's because Sawyer plays too well into her histeronic history, but Jake seems too safe for her.
Have you ever read Oscar Wilde? If you read a book of his short stories it's kind of like that.

No I haven't. I've been wanting to, though. Have you seen much of Season 3? They've gone deeper into Kate's past, I find that she and Sawyer are such mirror images of eachother. But then there's the old adage that opposites attract. We've also seen a side of Jack in flashbacks that I didn't really expect at all. He's a lot more complicated than one would think, which is actually kinda disappointing in a way.

Lol this is LOST everything is twisted. Kate started out being a little heroine now she's our bank robbing sl*t, that we all love and hate.
Even Hurly is complicated, and he's like... side character almost. You know?
