Me either But I love these, Mage! Lady Liberty is just so majestic. When I was in the city we stayed in an apartment on the Hudson and I spend the longest time just looking out the window at the statue. So amazing ;D

Very nice Mage. Did you know that Photofiltre is now offering a Photofiltre Studio. It costs like $32 dollars, but it allows you to work with layers and stuff, which I know some of the bigger name programs do. I downloaded the trial version to see if I like it and want to pay for it. I'm gonna play with it soon and I'll let you know what I think.

Really? I got photofiltre studio free! But I haven't really used it yet- I don't have the whole layer thing down yet. I have never actually climbed up it myself either- although when my mom and I went to the city when I was in 3rd grade to go to Ellis Island we considered it, but gave up when we discovered that they only let you go to the crown if you leave on the first boat in the morning. So we didn't go up. All the other times I've been to the city, we were too busy doing other stuff. The most recent trip we went on was to the NYSE (the New York Stock Exchange). We actually went in, and it was amazing to watch all the deals being conducted on the floor. It's amazing how electronicized everything has become- 5 years ago, the paper on the floor would have to be swept five times a day because of all the paper the stock people throw over their shoulders when they're done with it. (They don't have time to throw it away). Now, it only has to be shoveled 2 times a day. Something I was also interested to note was that before the NYSE became a public company last March, there was a Tailor, a Dry Cleaner, a Hairdresser, and rooms to rent on Wall Street. There were also various cafeterias, and even showers. That was back when it was a private club- people wouldn't leave- they'd do everything there. These people don't even have time to enjoy a private time in the bathroom- ticker signs are in the bathroom as well! It was amazing; I'm so glad that our Stock Market teacher had a friend who worked there. I want to go back so badly!!! mage
