I'm sorry if anybody finds this unagreeable with their stomachs... honestly, it's not that disgusting. And it's based on real-life experince! ;D
An Ode to Stale, Soggy Cake Floating in Used Dishwater
O soggy cake, art thou lonely?
Whilest ye float amongst old dishes
And uneaten particles of dinners past
Dost thou pine for purpose and life?
Do you ponder what we mortals cannot?
Or are you worthless, deserving of disdain?
Or just a piece of old cake?
Why is this stanza all questions?
O soggy cake, why are you undevoured?
The sole remainder of a once grand pastry delight
You now reside in nauseating sinkwater
Near forgotten that you were once edible
Why o why! is your plea
Have I been reduced to waste like this?
Simply , it was because someone was full
And could not force you down
O soggy cake, I mourn your lost taste
I lament the floating mass you have become
I pity your crippled appearance
And gag at touching you with my hand
O soggy cake, once delicious and appealing
Now stripped of dignity and satisfaction
You are laid to rest at last
In the graveyard of other dinner scraps, the wastebin
Sorry if that was too long, I even shortened it a stanza.
