Nocturne ForthcomingDost thou dream of summer fine? Alabaster waves cascading o’er shores so blue. Thy freedom rampant, summertime resolve. Phoebe lingers on eastern horizon Whilst flames of crimson fade to the west. Dost thou dream of summer fine? Skies so resplendent dim to colourless beauty As nocturne painted before us soon-coming. But let us make haste, drink in beauty so sweet That thy silhouette might stand against amethyst clouds Ere those flames devour our world, This harlequinade of summer’s delight. Ere our eyes descend to night, Our dream has but just begun. Our cadenced song yet unsung. Ere the dream called summer ends, And winter’s limbs nettle. Yea, but that of summer’s dream shall linger In thy precious eyes, thy warmth divine. Dost thou dream of summer fine?

Wow, I knew you were a good poet, but I didn't know you could write like this. I'm officially jealous.

Aw, M! Thank you so much! I really must be self-loathing because I usually can't stand any of my stuff, including this, heh. But thank you so much for your words. Really, anyone can write outstanding poetry, so long as the subject is in their soul. Anyone can write anything if they believe in it. *steps off soapbox* lol.

It has been almost half a lifetime since I wrote any poetry, and I'm not even sure what I did with the stuff I wrote back then. I'm almost afraid to look at it again. I hate to see how bad it was.

I'm sure your poetry is fantastic, M. You should start writing again, I'd love to read it!
