Yeah, my mom found it somewhere online. Definately look for it! I am really enjoying it! My copy is published by the vision forum ( www.visionforum.com) and it looks like the original and everything- it even has a ribbon bookmark and wonderful woodcuts. I don't think it was that expensive either.

anjouleme ~ Maybe you're right, but until then -- *shrug* But at least I admit that my opinions and views may change in the future. You always hear people say, "Ugh, I'd never do/read/eat/etc. something like that!"

I have the opposite problem of paintedmusic. I have all kinds of books I could read. Even series that I've started and not finished but it's just so much easier for me to read fanfiction than to actually decide on a book. Does that really make sense? It shouldn't.

Oh no, Meyer's books strike again. I, myself, am reading Battle Royale by Koushun Takami and its manga version. Imagine having to kill your classmates for your own survival. That means your friends and any family members that ended up in your class. The manga version has beautiful art (everytime I saw the protagonist, I squeaked "Look! It's Yusuke Urameshi!") and it renders the gore and sexuality perfectly. Of course, seeing a big ol' martial artist/crybaby (despite that being a long time ago in the book) blush like no tomorrow is too cute. I have the opposite problem of paintedmusic. I have all kinds of books I could read. Even series that I've started and not finished but it's just so much easier for me to read fanfiction than to actually decide on a book. Does that really make sense? It shouldn't. M. I know what you mean. I'm the same way with some anime and manga. It just seems better to read what other fans think.

I've heard that the Stephenie Meyers books aren't particularly well-written, and that it's rather the story and the characters that have attached themselves to so many girls? I still want to read because so many of my friends just keep raving about Mr. Cullen.
I'm finally reading Jane Eyre (by Charlotte Brontë, of course), which I've been wanting to read for ages. I've never seen an adaptation and I met some lovely girls who told me to keep holding off as it would really make the book so much more enjoyable. They were all very jealous of my Brontë-virginity, they said the first time you read it is always the best. And it's really spectacular so far, but I've decided not to read introductions anymore, because they never fail to spoil me for the ending!

House of Leaves = Love
Then I'm going on to The Fountainhead. God, I adore Rand's stuff.
Also, Third disagreement, All but two people in my class of 160 students found Jane Eyre to be an atrocious waste of time. I despised that book with a burning passion.
