I know forums can be confusing at times and this forum has lots of cool little features that might seem confusing to some. So this thread will go about explaining exactly how to go about posting a story on this forum.
- First you must decide whether you are posting in the Fan-fiction section, Original Section, or Poetry Section. These categories are outlined on the front page of the forum.
- If you are posting in the Fan-fiction section you must decide which Category to post under, ie. Anime, Book, Cartoon, Movie, etc. Click on that section. Then you will see a list of established story categories to post under. Choose which story you wish to post under. ie. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. Click that story. On the next page you will be able to start a thread for your story. Click on New thread in the upper right hand corner. You will then be brought to a page where you may post your story. First you have the Subject. That would be the title of your story. You may choose a message icon to go beside your story, ie. a thumbs up symbol, a smiley, or a wink. Your story goes in the Message box. Above the message box are several commands you can add to your story. For instance if you wanted to make your title Bold you would click the B. This places two peices of script in the message box. You place your title between the two peices. There are several other commands such as Italics, Underline, [glow=red,2,300]Glow.[/glow] You may also change the layout of differnt parts of your story. For instance if you wanted to Center your title, you can select the center button. Just remember what ever text you wish to center needs to go between the two peices of script. There are several comands that you can use. You can add email addresses, links to pictures, tables, lists. You may change the color of your writing also. Once you have inserted your story in the message box you have some choices below it. They are self explanitory. The most important is to bookmark your story so you know when reviews are posted. You can access your bookmarks from your profile page.
- As far as the original fiction and poetry goes, the instructions are the same, except for the fact that their are no subcategories to choose from, in most categories.
I hope this has helped everyone to better understand posting on this board. If you have any questions feel free to reply to this thread or email or pm me. I will be glad to help anyone who needs more information.
