Thank you very much, Anime. It's great to know that I have people I can count on.
Well progress report. I can't stand to stay in bed any longer, so look where I'm at. I had the same problem at the hospital. They kept telling me to lay down because they were afraid I'd pass out and fall off the side of the bed where I was sitting. I did very well though, and did not pass out.
Pain is tolerable and I'm managing to keep the pain killers to a minimum. Hmm I look like a victim of a slasher movie. I don't think it was really neseccary to cut me four times, but they wanted to do a liver biopsy too so oh well, I just have to deal with more scars.
Anyway I'll shut up before I gross too many people out. It's great to be back and sort of in the swing of things.
Now I'm off to see what else you guys have done since my unexpected departure.

Freddy used to be my friend. I wonder how that relationship went downhill so quick?

Gomen, I've been away so long that I didn't get to see this thread until today. I've had surgery twice- and both for the same thing. The first time was when I was ten- I had had a cyst (dunno if that's spelled right) growing under my tongue for a while and thought it was natural so I never told my mum.
At some point my little sister went to my mum and told her about it... The doctors actually took pictures of it for medical books because they'd never seen it like that before. I had to have my large saliva gland removed because it was growing into it...
And the second time I had one on my side- they actually didn't put me to sleep for that surgery. Needless to say I was kind of grossed/freaked out at the feel (however numbed) of them cutting it out.
*Coughs* Anyway, I hope that you feel much better soon!

Wow, slasher movies... there's never any good slasher movies any more. Instead we have psychological torture, I want a good old fashioned murderer going around gutting people... that's not a thought many would have, is it?
Glad you are doing well, M. We miss you when you're gone.

Let me correct my former statement. They did not cut me four times but six instead. For some reason I'm beginning to think that I was a lab experiment. I have more staples in me than office depot.
Raven, thats okay hon. Not many people knew I was gone. Actually I would prefer to have an epideral than to be put completely out. I get severly sick when I wake up after anesthesia. My dad and his sister were the same way. I'm just lucky that I was so out of it that I barely remember it. Everyone else does though. It's a little embarrasing though.
Anime, I would have to agree with you on the slasher movies. Nightmare on Elm Street was just about my favorite. I actually had a crush on Freddy Kruger there for a while when I was going through a morbid phase.

I've only been give anithesia once and it was a local one. It was on my knee (I had to get stiches) and I already had my fear of needles, so needless to say they put me in a sound proof room so I would quit scarying the other paicents. I've also been sedated twice, both in the last year. When I was given 1.0 Adavan (the first sedation) I was a nut case. I know they gave me something, though, it knocked me out and when I finally got up I had the super munchies and wouldn't have known what I was eating. Glad you are alright M. At least people will know where all the staples have gone when we run on a staple shortage
