Actually IE is more prone to virus because it's been around longer, and the people making the virus target it's programming because more people use it, but as firefox gets more popular, there will be more virus targeting it also. I still use IE but I use it with Crazybrowser. It's a free downloadable browser that works off of IE. It uses tabbed browsing so it's more stable, and it has a built in pop-up blocker. I very rarely have one slip buy it. Then I have three programs that are essential. Norton 2005: gotta have a good antivirus, plus I was told that you should never use the subscription renewal. You should actually buy the new vesion when it comes out. The subscription renewel doesn't always include some of Nortons new cool features. Then there's Spyware Blaster. It's free and it will keep 98% of all Spyware off your computer. They also support firefox and I believe opera Then there's Spybot Search & Destroy. If anything does slip by Spyware Blaster this program usually kills it. If anyone is really needing help with Spyware or Virus take a look at the first website I created. I ran into alot of problems with my last pc and Spyware, so I learned as much about the problem as I could and created a website. www.free-spywarehelp.comM.

Isn't it amazing how people just sit at home and come up with ways to hack into peoples systems? I wouldn't be surprised if the spyware companies pay them to do it - keeps their business going... I was tempted to get Opera instead of Firefox. I still have just IE on my desktop, which I'm on right now, so I may download Opera on here just to try it...

I use Norton and Spybot primarily, plus my browser's (SBC/Yahoo! DSL's) built in pop-up/spam blocker. I don't open e-mail that I don't know where it came from ie. About.com, ff.net, friends, and the few random e-mails from forums that I get.

I use IE, but I have excellent pop-up protect from my MSN account. I've had not a single pop up since I got my laptop.
I believe I have the two worst gremlins right now... I have Migrania which is a little green gremlin that sits on my head with a mallet and starts banging on my head at random times... AND I have Idiocy, a lovely little creature that keeps me posting on these forums instead of studying for my Social Psychology Exam...hmmm...

Ah...Idiocy...I get that one all the time. Like I should be working on my econ. report right now (luckily it's not due until mid Nov.) instead of staring at a computer screen.
