Fire is the coolest thing. I can't tell you how many candles I have bought in my lifetime. Candle light is so much more interesting than light bulbs. It is a mood enhancer. It is relaxing when you've had a hard day. And alot of the time I find myself staring at the flame and my mind wanders away to all kinds of different places. I had a roomate once who could hypnotise people with candle light. It was an interesting experience.

I pick on my mom sometimes...she's usually stressed out, and every now and then she'll take a bath upstairs. I remember, I went to a friend's house one night, my dad was gone, and my sister stayed at a friend's house, so she was home alone. When I got home, I asked her if she'd taken a bath with candle light and a glass of wine. She did the bath and candle, but no wine. That takes the fun out of it. lol
I have...*counts* five of my own candles, including two decorative ones. Then my mom has innumerable candles scattered through the house. I know where at least two lighters are, so when I spend time in the kitchen, I usually light a candle.
One time, I left one burning, and it melted onto the counter. o.o Oops. I remember my mom yelled "PYRO" up the stairs at me....heheheh

I see it this way. If a person is deep enough to think about the nuances of fire, I mean actually sit and watch something burn just to see how the fire acts, what the different shades of light are, and so forth and so on then they more than likely have a creative soul.
I used to sit at a table with soft haunting music playing and watch candles burn just to see the patterns the wax would make as it ran down the candle stick and onto the table.
I know that sounds like someone who has too much time on their hands, but I was single, lived alone and broke. I had to entertain myself somehow. Something about the patterns the wax made fascinated me.
Okay now that everyone thinks I'm crazy, on to another topic.
