Hello to all you wonderful Jane Austen fans! This is the section of Novicewriters devoted to you. Here you can post your fanfictions, and read others. There is also more Jane Austen stuff in the discussion boards, with arts and Jane Austen movie reviews. So I'm sure you will feel right at home.
However, before you get too comfortable, there are a few ground rules that you should know.
Firstly, if you don't like a story, please do not flame it. Please, instead, submit constructive criticism. This helps an author to overcome their problems.
Secondly, make sure you understand what ratings and warnings mean. We use the fanfiction ratings (www.fictionratings.com), so make sure you understand this. All stories must have a rating. We do not want people reading objectionable material if they do not know it is objectionable. If there are any unrated stories, the author will be warned, and if they do not change it, serious consequences will have to be implemented.
Third, please include a summary in all of your stories at the beginning of each chapter so that the reader knows what they are getting into when they start reading the story. This is just something that makes everyone's life much easier. The summary, after the title, is what most effeictively draws someone into the story. So please use this remarkable tool.
Lastly, please only use authors notes at the beginning and at the end of each story and/or chapter. This way people don't have to read through author's notes right when something exciting is happening. If an author's note is in the middle of a story, and its use is not absolutely necessary, the author will recieve a warning, and if they do not follow up on their warning, the note will be removed by me.
Now you understand the ground rules, please feel free to kick your feet up and have a wonderful time in this section. If you have any questions concerning this, feel free to pm me, email me, or im me- I'm usually on.
Thank you again,
Your mod,
