Rating: pg/pg-13... I'm not yet sure where I'll take it yet.
Falling (title subject to change)
Chapter One: Falling
Oh… she, Laura Adkins was SO over him. Now and forever. She would not look at him. Not one more time. The stupid crush on the sexy older boy would end NOW. Or else. She was going to focus her attention (and boy radar) to a different boy. Max looked nice. Or how about Robert? He was pretty hot, although younger. Not by much though.
The difference was that Jason MADE the atmosphere around them that way. He LIKED to confuse her. You could tell that he did in the way that he smirked at her. This would so end NOW. She was tired of over analyzing everything he said.
“Hey Robert!” she called over the din of leaving the practice session for the orchestra, “Wanna come to pizza with Kate and I?” Robert turned from talking to Jason and they made their way over to the girls. O, this was wonderful. Not. Jason was coming over. However, she had that one glimmer of hope alive… then she immediately stomped on it.
“I’m sorry” Robert said apologetically “My grandparents are over, and I have to go greet them”
“Oh” said Kate deflated “Maybe another time then”
“I could come, though” Jason said, looking at her weirdly, suggesting something (Laura wasn’t quite sure what) in his look.
“Yeah, well there’s the certain problem that you don’t have a ride back to your house because you came with Robert and you live all the way over in Southbury and don’t have a car.” she said, determined for once and for all to get Jason out of her mind and move on to viewing him as an acquaintance who she disliked.
Jason looked at her, stunned. There was a dead silence. Everything seemed suddenly still. Then Laura was falling… falling… falling…
