Here is a poem, rated for everyone-G, about the loss felt at the end of Summer before school begins.
A Heated Farewell
No more trespassing into swimming pools after dark feeling the melting heat disappear at the first nightly splash No more walking after one in the morning listening to the country conversation of owls shouting out their endless question to all who pass by No more borrowed time before school starts No more listless days, vacation nights and dreams of what to do next. Now, I feel the chill of September in each passing moment leaving behind the hopes, crushed or not, of this summer and walking forward into the Fall's uncertain embrace...
