Well, I read the topic and felt unimpressed as I am in the middle of a drought in a sweltering hot Spring- it was 37 degrees ( C ) today- argh! But then I thought to myself stuff it, I’m going to tell you all what Autumn is like where I come from, beginning to end: ENJOY!
The Slow Season
Bloated grey hands crawl through the sky Dark marches in swamping the ground Sheets of white clang into the air As the people below scurry and flound
Booming and shuddering shaking the earth Death comes calling raising his cowl Winds rip water drenching the air Car sirens scream and all the dogs howl
Creeping pink light flutters as dawn Warm breeze melts the thrill of the night Slow waking up all the lands clean The sun rises up soft but bright
Light fades to dark, from dark to light Nothing days and nothing trees Bland dull colours the flora tired All that is left the rippling seas
Sand glares white fades to down to cool The tide pulls up over again Clearing the life off and away All that is left the lonely men
Luke warm patters and gentle loss Soft touches air breathe the life Strain and wait almost there Almost left Winter’s wife
A/N: So... obviously not my favourite season- apart from the storms at the very beginning. Ah well- if you're in Autumn now I hope it's nice for you!

I don't quite understand what you don't get - (lol- bit ironic) but I'll try and fill any confusion you may have: I've basically interpreted the challenge VERY literally- it's a description of what the Autumn (or Fall) I experience is. I've addressed the stages it goes through The first two parts are the storms that are left from Summer which drift into our Autumn. The third is the break away from the storms- when our Autumn starts to differentiate from Summer. The fourth and fifth parts express what I see in our Autumns and how the weather and changes make me feel. The last part is Autumn finally starting to feel Winter creeping in- Winter's wife in my eyes it Autumn which is why I say 'almost left Winter's wife'. All in all, nothing too fancy. Hope that clears it all up for you! Liv
