Okay, yay! First dream thread. hehe...
Well, obviously, this is the place where we discuss our dreams, and lately I have been having really strange dreams, mostly about me being in the military. That is one of my goals, to join the Coast Guard, and I wonder if that has any real affect on me, other than just what I have eaten before I've gone to bed?
I'll start with a little introduction first, on my take of dreams. I think that dreams have a lot of play into our lives. Not necessarily influencing us directly, but sometimes subconsciously. In my family, dreams have always had something to do with our lives. My dad, when he dreams, it is usually vividly and, not trying to sound all mystical or anything, but have some play on what will happen in the near future. For instance, he is in the military and had a dream that the power would be turned back on in a Loran station down in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Well, the next day, he heard from someone that the power had been turned on again! He's had other dreams that have come true, as well. Then, I have had prophetic dreams and I've told to my Grandmother, and she interpreted them for me, from a Christian viewpoint, since she is a pastor's wife. My dreams often come in three parts, and are usually very vivid and easily remembered. That can be bad when they scare me witless.
But, anyway, dreams mean a lot to me and I usually use them in my stories somehow or other, be it one time or throughout the entire story. But in real life (yes, there is such a thing, even to fan fiction writers and original fiction writers), they give me a new outlook on something, or let me know that I'm feeling strongly for or against something. Or that what I ate last night didn't exactly agree with me and played funny tricks on my mind.
So, here we can tell about dreams that we've had, and discuss them to an extent. Share what you've been dreaming lately, if you want, and we can talk about it so you can maybe better understand it. Or just sit back, and laugh at the hilarity of what some people dream. ^_^ Whatever floats your little dreamboat!
