Oh, don't get me started on the costumes, again, I went over that on page one (Death Eaters should not look like KKK).
Oh, that sounds funny. When I saw it I had a major migrane, plus I had to leave the theater in the middle of it because my mom called on my cell phone (it was on vibrate). I'm so glad it's out on DVD.

Harry Potter four... a screwed up version of the book. Theya re trying to approach too wide an audience, and the movie suffers.
I always thought dementors should look like ringwraiths. Ironic and stupid as that may seem(and ripping off of course) the ones shown were identical to the original Lotr Ringwraiths. The new ones would have sutied it more.

Right on. Seriously. But the music was great. I have a soundtrack on my iPod. I couldn't believe though, that they didn't put S.P.E.W in! I would think that would be a great theme. That was the high point of the whole book! SERIOUSLY!!!
Cheers,

P.S. O, and yeah, I agree about the costumes stinking. Seriously, Herminone was supposed to wear dress ROBES to the ball, NOT A DRESS!!!

Wow, I didn't even remember S.P.E.W. was in Goblet of Fire. But I read those books so close together, I always get them mixed up. I was talking with my mom about these movies yesterday. I feel like they lost a bit of the charm after the second movie (even though Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite, and I did like GoF a lot). I agree about the Dementors, I imagined them to look just like wraiths too - and ditching Hermoine's dress robes wasn't a smart move. Amazing how the film people really don't think the audience will notice that sort of thing, isn't it? Especially with something like Harry Potter.

I imagine that fifty years from now, they will do them all over again. Sorta like they're doing to the Jane Austen and William Shakespeare movies now.
But seriously. They can't even get the common room to look right, and it changes every year because of different directors! Talk about annoying!!!

Very true, Mage. It's funny, I was just talking to somebody about the Lord of the Rings movies and he was talking about all the inconsistencies. I told him that it's interesting to look at the movies as either "what if" circumstances (i.e. "what if" it had been Arwen who rode with Frodo in the Flight to the Ford sequence, rather than Glorfindel) instead of being "incorrect". But Peter Jackson really made his own vision work in Lord of the Rings and it would probably work as well in Harry Potter if there was one director..

Yeah, that's true. But there's such a demand for the movies that there never will be just one director.
