I'm not going to give any specifics but I will warn anyone who is not into nudity, cussing, or blood and violence do not, I repeat do not see this movie.
I am actually a fan of Kiera Knightly, but this movie greatly dissapointed me. I was looking forward to seeing her play a tough girl role, which she most certainly did. Don't get me wrong she played the character just as she was supposed to but the movie itself was just downright disgusting as far as I was concerned. But that is just my own personal opinion.

Aw, a shame you didn't like it, M. You know she got a body double for all the nude scenes? Her modesty didn't last long obviously, judging by a certain issue of Vanity Fair. I think she should stick with period films. She was so wonderful as Lizzie Bennet and it even got her an Oscar nod. Although I have to say I didn't enjoy her as much in King Arthur, but she still did what she was supposed to. I think maybe it was the writing of the character Guinevere I didn't like. Nonetheless, she's a talented actress and quickly becoming one of my favorites I'll make a mental note not to see the movie. No matter how wonderful Edgar Ramirez looks.

Oh I have nothing against her personally for doing the part. It's her job, and she played it just as she was supposed to, and yes Ramirez is very fine. As a matter of fact she is still one of my favorite actesses and will probably stay that way.
I just was dissapointed that they had to turn such a good idea into something so vulgar. I don't mind movies where the language is rough at times and the s*x is implied or done tastefully, but heck if I wanted to see porn I'd just download some off the internet. I don't expect it to come in movies that I've rented because I wanted to see a good movie.
Sorry just ranting. I was so looking forward to this flic. Ah well, just waiting for PotC2. At least I know I can't go wrong there.
Oh by the way, Idril. I have Elizabethtown coming my way from Netflix for today or tomorrow. And I still have yet to see P&P.

I have to say, I always heard people saying girls like Keira and Natalie Portman were their favorite actresses, but I never understood it. I actually thought they were too young to be any good, honestly. How bad is that?! But then I saw Keira in Pride & Prejudice and I realized how talented she really is. Now I'm saying she's my favorite actress. Hah.
Yeah I heard there was some pretty bad stuff as far as sexual content. Can't say I'm surprised, really. There was a time when an R rating was no big deal, now it's as good as NC-17 to me. One of the Chicago Trib's people had a rant about it, too. But that's another subject.
Oh, yes, PotC2. Dead Man's Chest. 75 days. I seriously can't wait for that. It's a little bittersweet that they're done filming now. <3
Ohh email me the instant you see Etown and let me know what you thought. I really have no idea if you'll like it. I've seen so many opinions on it. If you watch Food Network you'll see a familiar face (Paula Deen from "Paula's Home Cooking"). And you must see Pride & Prejudice. You will fall in love (most ardently) with Darcy, I have no doubt.
