So how can a man get away with passing of entirely fictitious stories as fact?? Especially when that man does it for two and a half years. Some of which time he wrote for publications such as GEORGE, the ROLLING STONE, and even the NEW YORK TIMES. Not to mention the time he spent as associate editor of the NEW REPUBLIC. It doesn't seem possible... BUT it is in fact true. If you've never heard of STEPHEN GLASS i recommend researching him. He's pretty much what NOT to do in journalism.... but he was a pretty amazing writer of fiction. Also check out the movie Shattered Glass. It is clearly a dramatization... and it makes Glass out to be some sort of GENIUS, but IN any case HIS makes for quite an interesting story. He was brought down in 98' when 27 of his 41 publications were proved to be either partially or entirely fabricated. If you are interested in journalism it's a good story to remember. So just check it out!
