Okay, I finally tracked this program down and downloaded it. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get the caps I take to not be black. I turned off overlays in Windows Media Player, which is what I'm using, but it's still not working. When I turned off hardware acceleration on my computer I didn't get video at all, just the audio. What am I doing wrong?

I ended up with the same problem and when I contacted them they said that the program did not support video capture. But I know that once upon a time it did. Because the first version that I got of it did. But I can't find that version anymore and I lost it when I wiped my pc last year.
Honestly I use the capture function in PowerDVD but then I have to convert all my caps from bmp to jpg or png so I can upload them. I use paint to do that. But it is a heck of a long process.

Dear God, I'm scared to ask this... Do you have to pay for PowerDVD? I think my Mom's laptop has it, but I don't feel like using it lol.

Mine came with the last dvd burner I bought but no it's not free unfortunately. And looks like it's $50 to buy. Ouch. What dvd playing program do you have. Most of the commercial ones have a capture feature.

Nothing that I don't have to pay for... Agh, I'll figure it out eventually, just not tonight. I was just planning on capping the first season of Charmed.

Oh my talk about a fun little bit of work you got planned there. You'd think I would have already done that for the section here but I just have too many irons in the fire anymore.

lol. I officially have all of the first six seasons, and was planning to cap them over the next year... Ah, I'll just have to figure out how to get the overlays to turn off properly and use the Print Screen button and paint.
Oh, and I also wanted to cap Hairspray too lol.
