I sneak into my sons room late at night to see if he's OK, check if he's alright I linger a moment longer as he slumbers and I ponder He is untainted, He is new so much to learn, so much to do can I put right in his life what went wrong in mine can I protect him from all of mankind hope for him, is hope for me can I finally be sent free maybe I have a chance to turn it all around to my damnable fate his life cannot be bound I think of my boy and my life as I write this rhyme and ask GOD the strength to end the cycle for all time

Very nice. It started out a bit uneasily for me, but after the first four lines, I began to enjoy it. I love the thoughts of the parent as they ponder their child's future. It's a very scary time, which I why I like the closure of this poem. Great job.
Favorite line:
He is untainted, He is new so much to learn, so much to do
