I wrote this years ago for my Brother's young children, all teenagers these days, but now I have a brand new niece- 1 year old, this past May, and wrote a poetry book for her. This is my favorite.
There's A Dragon In My Sock Drawer That eats one out of every pair so whenever I go to find them There's only one of each in there
There's a fairy under my bed sheet a mischievious one I know so whenever I try to make my bed neat she crumples the sheets up so
There's an elf hiding in my closet who tangles my hangers up tight so whenever I try to hang up my clothes I get into a terrible fight
Then Mr. and Mrs. Moonbeam Keep me awake at night by shining through my bedroom window and making my room too bright
One by one each creature teases and gets me in trouble all day by doing what each one pleases to cause me some delay
I tried to explain to my Mother about the fairy, dragon and elf but she said it was none other than a little girl named- myself

Not bad, It kind of reminded me of one of the poem books my mum used to read to me when I was younger. You brought back some great memories. Alright so construtive criticism umm...... I couldn't find manny grammar issues and beleive me I had to look hard. All I can say is "mischevious" is actually spelled mischievous with an "i" between the "h" and "e" and there's a space between bed sheet. So other than two miss spelled words it was pretty much perfect from what I could tell. I only pointed this out because I felt that I should write something helpful atleast.
