This is the section where the aspiring writer or artist can come to get tips on their trade, and to find links to useful services.
Get a Beta Reader. I have found that it is very hard to edit your own work. You often miss mistakes that someone else might catch. Here is a link to a section in our forum which you can post a request for a beta reader in.
Try a Brainstorming Partner. I know when I am stuck at a certain spot on my story and I just don't know where to go next it helps immensely to talk to someone else about it. There are a couple of fellow writers that I spend time on Instant Messenger speaking about different story ideas. It seems like speaking to someone else helps the creative juices to continue to flow. The following is a link to a section in the forum where you can request a brainstorming partner.
Share Your Writing Strategies and Methods. Do you have a strategy for writing that you're just itching to share? Or perhaps you're experiencing a rough round of the dreaded "Writer's Block" and looking for a way to overcome it. Whatever the case, come on over to the forum and discuss how you dish out your favorite works!
Online Translator - There are members of our site that will wish to post in their own home language. This is a decent online translator that I have found, for those of you wishing to read stories in foreign languages.
Digital Image Editor - Photofiltre is a free downloadable Image Editor that has many of the same aspects of some of your higher priced Image Editors. The website includes some very useful tutorials and make sure you download the plug-ins. They really add to the versatility of the program. And for those of you who want even more features check out PF Studio. It is not freeware, but the additional options make it well worth the price.
Image Sources - Well now that you have an Image Editor you will need images to edit. Here is a list of several sites that offer image sources. Everything from backgrounds to textures to actor pics to tutorials.
Scantastic - High quality scans of many international magazines and books. Registration is required.
ProDraw Graphics Gallery - 3D Graphic sources.
Hybrid Genesis - Brushes, textures, patterns. Registration is required to access these.
Fan-Sites.org - Lists over 700 fansites some of which have thier own photo galleries. Lots of stuff to look at here.
...of the sky/Trex-tures - Textures only.
77words - PSP8 Icon Brushes with imagepack.
Aquired-taste.net - PSP8 Brushes. Some with imagepacs.
Colorfilter.net - Brushes, texture, gradients and patterns.
