A/N: I don't know where this should fall under, I tend to put anything and everything in general anymore. This came to me one day when I was listening to a smooth soul album and feeling very melancholy-ish. This started out as just writing, and I kinda morphed it into a poem from there. That would be why it's choppy in places and doesn't seem to flow. But I figured I'd toss it in here anyway. Musical Poetry
You hear it, You feel it, Washing over your soul. Heart-wrenching in it's beauty. A tear cascades down your cheek. You drink your coffee Or your wine Or you smoke your cigarette Or you light your candles Or you sit in your bathtub. Whatever soothes you. Nothing exists but you And the stereo And the unspeakable creation That leaves the speakers. Is this music or is it poetry? Is it nostalgia? Is it beautiful melancholy? Is it anything? Is it everything? All at once. There's so much more than nothing In your silent contemplation Oh this music! Oh this poetry!
