The only lyrics of theirs I can ever remember is the chorus to Imaginary, and that's just because I used it for an artwork eons ago. It goes something like, "In my field of paper flowers and candy clouds of lullaby I lie inside myself for hours and watch my purple sky fly over me". Which isn't really relevent.
I know what you mean, Mage, everything about the tone of their music calls for depression and a lack of faith. But it could also represent a lost soul before (or in the process of) being Saved. I suppose it's all up to interpretation?

Hmm... maybe.
There are some serious worship references though...
Sweet Sacrifice (sounds awful) is about being a living sacrifice, and giving our lies to go, and how much it shows us where we go wrong. Alot of thier music is pity music for non-christians.

The older stuff is a little more sinister though... Bring me to life is about resurection but beyond that...

I don't listen to much Evanescance but what I do... Well I'd call it blue, not satanic. I associate hues with certain musics, and theirs is a very icy blue. Still, I'm not sertain I would put them under christian either, but again, I don't listne to them much.
Mark me down as 90's country. I love listening to that when I write. So much imagry... it's just so lovely.

Mark me down as 90's country. I knew I liked you I couldn't listen to 90s country when I write for the simple reason that it distracts me, I have so many memories in those songs that I'll start reminiscing and forget what I'm writing. But still, fantastic music. ;D I can definitely see that color in Evanesence's music, too.
