Since no one has posted any poetry in this section yet, I thought I'd kick it off with one of my own.
Fate
There is a boom, a wail of shells, Lots of soldiers that are doomed, Doomed forever to watch the heavens, Silent screams, that are never heard. These are the fates the soldiers choose For they never win, always lose.
They walk the earth, lost yet found, Never to know the pain of death, They found it before, yet still they live, A sightless life of black and white. Lost in scenes long forgotten, They wander the earth in hope, Hope they'll join their comrades at last, No thoughts of the future; they're lost in the past.
Comments are welcome, I'll be posting some other stuff later as well.

Gunk- Why hello again, I just reviewed your fantastic essay. This is very well done to- I hope you write more within the near future! I personally hate war, but that's just my take on it. I think you illustrated it pretty well in this poem. Keep writing- I hope to read more of your stuff in the future! love, eleanor
