Just another war poem from me, I'm not a fan of war no matter the era it occurs in or the weapons used. However, I do believe it has its uses, the most important being to make us appreciate peace for the fleeting time it reigns in the world, and hopefully that's reflected in my work.
In a meadow and in a field, Fought with both sword and shield, A battle rages, yet the end draws nigh, The fallen lay silent, the wounded cry, Those who survive will never forget, The day both sides marched and met.
Souls were lost, blood was spilled, All but a few were slaughtered and killed, Yet, through all of the bodies and all of the blood, Through all of the grime and all of the mud, A small, little flower stands tall, and shall cope, Through all of the madness, as a glimmer of hope.
