Well Hey, I'm Audrey and I'm new to this site. I'd love to review other works and introduce myself to the forum and all that jazz later, but at the moment what I really need is a brainstorming partner.
Or more specifically someone I can talk to regularly on AIM or by email about my ideas, who can give me their opinions, check for any plot holes, etc. etc. I'm experimenting a little with time-travel and plot twists, so someone who can give me their opinions on that would be most excellent and appreciated.
I've had this story, the characters and their world in my mind for 1-2 years now and I've finally gotten down to writing their story, so this really means a lot to me. But I always second-guess myself and my plots and over the past week as I was writing I keep changing so many things, as I keep getting more and more ideas, and this is why a brainstorming partner would be helpful. I can't talk it out with my friends or family as it's not in their tastes and they haven't been remotely helpful anyway. I'm not exactly stuck, I just can't decide on a couple of things such as the ending...I've got multiple endings in mind.
That being said, I'll give you a little details on the novel. The story is an original work of mine. It's set in a futuristic society in another world, though the world is never really specified other than "West Country" and "East Country" for lack of name ideas and then it just stuck.
There are three narrators, Fiel Castro --an empress in training who has for the most part been kept in the dark throughout her entire life in terms to what has been going on in civilization and who she really is. Now she's trying to gain 17 years worth of knowledge and experience necessary to rule over the state and is clumsily trying to pass off as an empress, really she has no clue.
Then there is William (Liam) McKendley, the guy she falls for. He's really a reckless scoundrel who just loves to cause trouble. He comes from the same background as Fiel though, he's the fourth son of the current emperor (who is a power hungry tyrant, of course) and like Fiel, he tries to get away from his responsibilities/destiny by racing under a fake name and identity, cause he's got a knack for it. (When I say racing, I mean by hoverboards). When he meets Fiel though, he agrees to teach her the arts of royalty and the ways of society.
Last, there is the mysterious Andy Tassle. Not much is known about him except that he is a genius and trying to overthrow the government for good reasons, mind you. He's the leader of a highly secretive and successful rebellion group and everyone wants to find out his true identity (and more about him) --Liam suspects that Andy is not really a genius and that there's more to his story...which of course there is.
Now the three of them eventually meet, after Liam and Fiel find out the nasty secrets that the government is hiding and their state gets attack by the legions of an evil terrorist (the antagonist here) and they team up to try and save their world from his rule and destruction.
=) Any good? And anyone willing to help? It's just the gist of it of course, because it's a truly complex plot, but hopefully It'll come together nicely.
