So the other day I had this wicked sounding idea for an original fic...however, I lack the time, patience, and general will to reaaaally get the historical things together (considering my mind has to be preoccupied in a different time period, on a different continent until July...). So here's a little tidbit of what I have roiling in my head. If you feel like you're up to the task...PM, email, AIM, MSN...pick one. I'm USUALLY online, even though it says I'm not.
Hokay, so.
Technically, it's kind of modern day I think/guess, but it's basis is ancient Greece among all the gods and goddesses. That's there the no time, patience, or whatever comes into play (since I'm having to work on late 16th century England). But anyway. There's this couple of passionate lovers who have been turned into stone by Zeus as punishment. For what? I'll tell you all later. But anyway. Where were we...punishment...oh yes. They're stone statues that have been preserved over the centuries, always kept together but never able to touch. So eventually, one of the gods has pity on them and convinces Zeus to turn them back into humans. However, there's a catch. Yes, always a catch, especially with the big guy. They have to do something (here's where I'm stuck, mostly) to prove their worth to retain their mortal status, in modern day.
So yes, if anyone would like to assist me in figuring stuff out, I'd be very grateful. Your reward would be seeing excerpts of the story as they are done.
The requirements? Eh, must know about ancient Greece and have a lovely creative mind.
