Well, I may be a bit late on this, and I don't know if I'll get any farther than this, but none the less here it is.

Tell me Something I Didn't Already Know Ch. 1
“…Don’t hurt me…please, don’t hurt me.”
“I won’t hurt you…I’ll murder you!”
Gauge looked nervously down at his feet as he twiddled his thumbs and bit his lip. “What if Veronica doesn’t show, Josh?”
Josh looked Gauge over with his cool-steel eyes, the tint of green around the edge of his pupils gleaming in the fading sunlight. He pushed his shiny, dirty blonde hair away from his left eye with his gloved right hand; a warm breeze pushed his luminous locks back into the same place, causing him to blow it to the side in frustration.
“She’ll show.” Josh said confidently with a bit of a smile.
Gauge leaned heavily against the low brick wall around the swings behind them; silky red hair falling over his deep-blue eyes. He rocked himself back and forth against the structure in complete and utter dismay. What would he say to her? Would she even show? He wasn’t sure of anything any more. Gauge flipped his red strands of hair off his forehead and looked over at Josh again. He sighed.
“How is it” Josh started, “ … how is it that you can talk to a complete stranger about anything in the world; but you’ve known Veronica since you were in second grade and you can’t even say ‘Hi’ to her without getting tongue-tied?”
Josh laughed as Gauge blushed nervously.
“I- I just can’t talk to her. I don’t know what she likes, how she acts around people…” Gauge stopped short, unsure how to explain the way he thought of her all the time, but never knew what to say to her when they talked, at least, not until it was too late.
“I think I understand where you’re coming from.” Josh chuckled.
The two boys gazed at the golden sky, the sun dying its horizon bloody with flecks of purple and blue. Josh swung his legs against the brick wall on which he sat; his shoes clicked lightly as they tapped the wall. The breeze blew; the few wispy clouds seemed to be pasted to the landscape, refusing to move from their places. Gauge sighed, looking briefly over to the side walk outside of the wire fencing. His eyes widened.
“Josh! Who’s that?” Gauge asked his friend; his voice quaked violently, as the bushes blocked his view. Josh poked his head up a bit.
“It’s Damian.” Josh said, almost as if he were asking a question. “What’s he doing here?”
Gauge shook his head and breathed a relief-filled breath in. “I don’t know; I didn’t invite him.”
Damian approached with a disgusted face and a clam air; his baggy black pants sported two silver chains and one red, while his black hair stripped with soft brown was tinted faded pink; today his eyes shone hazel, though not even he knew how long that would last. His pointed canine teeth glistened in the sun as its fiery gleam reflected off his saliva and he sighed.
“Just thought I should tell you,” Damian started, “that that f**k**g wh*re Veronica has decided to ditch you again, guys.” Damian’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he saw the look of displeasure on Gauge’s face.
Josh’s face contorted with rage from his relaxed disposition. “B*t*h.” he said simply in a deep, growling kind of voice.
“Give up on Veronica, man.” Damian began, “I heard from the hard-core Goths that she’s starting to get into their posse; the emo kids told me something similar about their groups. Face it, she’s a total idiot whose gonna be cutting every day for the rest of her life soon.”
Gauge wasn’t sure what to think. Josh, Damian and Lucifer had always looked out for him; but what if they were wrong this time? What if he could save her from making such a mistake? He doubted it, but it was possible.
“What if-- What if I can help her, so that doesn’t happen?” Gauge asked aloud to anyone who still bothered to listen.
Damian shoved his words aside in unsupportive black-heartedness. “She’ll never be worth to you what you’re worth to everyone else. Forget her.” Damian hopped onto the wall in between Josh and Gauge. He frowned, then rustled Gauge’s hair and smiled as Gauge looked up with confusion and distaste. “Come on,” Damian chirped “let’s go back up to Nitro’s house. His mom ordered pizza!”
Damian slid off the wall and just stood. His face returned to mellow obliviousness as the breeze caused his black hair to frame his face in a soft caress of beauty. It is hard to think that any straight man could look at another man, be the other heterosexual or homosexual, and see such beauty as Josh and Gauge saw in Damian for that brief moment. The sun glistened on Damian’s eyes as if they were calm pools of water; his face pictured utter bliss.
“Who are you?!”
Damian turned to them and gave Josh and Gauge the most mischievous look that any human could ever give another.
‘“Are we going?”’ he asked us. Are we going? I don’t know… Are we going…? Going where?
Josh snapped from his daze and scowled. “You could have forced her here, Damian. She owes me like fifty dollars! And that’s the eighth time she’s shot us down. I’ll only ask her here one more time, and if she doesn’t show again she’s losing her front teeth. Got it?” Josh grumbled as he cracked his fingers.
Damian laughed. “Like that’s a threat. Got it.”
“But,” Josh began “wouldn’t your brother kill you if you let her get hurt? I thought he’s liked her since before even Gauge knew her.”
Damian shrugged. “He has, but why should I care. I really don’t care what he wants at all.” Damian turned his head towards Gauge and looked into his eyes; as a cat might stare at a bird cage for a weakness or a way into it. Damian’s gaze held Gauge captivated; Damian’s eyes burned aqua into Gauge’s own deep blue.
Josh slapped a hand on Damian’s right shoulder. “Alright, let’s head out to Nitro’s then. Coming, Gauge?”
Gauge stared at Damian, under a sort of spell he was disabled from escaping. He was caged like an animal, his black feeling communing with Damian’s; a sour humor overtook him, but the air tasted sweet. Each breath he took burned his lungs, but he couldn’t scream. The wind tossed his hair from side to side; the fur around the neck of Damian’s shirt swayed gently. All of his pain subsided. Something told him that Damian had wanted him to feel this way as his eyes suddenly grew darker, angrier.
As quickly as it had begun, it ended when Damian blinked and turned his head away again. Shaking himself off, Gauge stepped forward from the wall and now stood next to Damian. “Yeah, I’m coming. Let’s go then, I guess.”
Damian’s eyes had now lightened again.
Josh, too, jumped from the wall and joined his two friends on the hard ground. “Who wants to race me to the end of the block?” Josh asked.
“I don’t like to race when it’s this hot out.” Damian replied dryly.
“Not up for it today, Josh.” Gauge chimed.
“You’re both losers.” Josh remarked, just barely dodging Damian’s fist; you could see Josh almost twitch at how close Damian had come.
“Yeah?” Damian chuckled. “And you’re a wimp.”
