The Weight of Truth: Part One
As a young girl she believed patriotism was saluting the men in uniform on the street. As a teenager she thought it was voting Republican and driving a Chevy (a result of her fathers brainwashing). But as a senior in high school she wasn’t so sure. In the declaration of independence it says that patriotism is keeping the three unalienable rights true, patriotism is the protection of that countries truths and rights, patriotism is ensuring that the government does not become tyrannical. But now this young woman wonders what happens when the masses become tyrannical?
“In the year of 2006 there are abhorrent acts taking place within our great country of America, and most people don’t even know that it’s happen. A religious dogma is being taught to young children in their classrooms. Great historical events like the speeches of our founding fathers are being re-written to suit that religious dogma, and most people do not even realize that it is happening. Four point one million children are killed a year and most people don’t bat an eyelash. The incoming of free love and tolerance has cause moral absolutes to be thrown out of the window: thus, sixth graders are giving blow jobs on the bus for a dollar, to the bus driver. Young girls are told that to be attractive they must give away their bodies and thus shatter their soul. No one waits for prince charming, they settle instead for Joe Six-Pack-of-Miller-Light.
“You are probably wondering how this happened. How religion wormed its way into our schools, how our daughters are willing to abuse themselves and our sons allow it gleefully. I could tell you how it happened, I can even tell you who did it; but I doubt you’d believe me. Because you’re probably part of the problem and don’t even realize it. That’s how sneaky these religious fanatics are; they’ve ensnared the masses without the masses realizing it, and they’ve made those of us who would tell the truth out to be ‘intolerant’. But in the spirit of patriotism I’ll be ‘intolerant’. Because patriotism is ensuring that the values on which this country was based stay the basis for the country.
“There is a religion called humanism. And the Humanists decided in the nineties to overthrow Christianity. Where is my proof that that was their goal? They said so… “In late nineteenth-century England, several small groups of scientists and scholars organized under the leadership of Thomas H. Huxley to overthrow the cultural dominance of Christianity. Their goal was to secularize society, replacing the Christian worldview with scientific naturalism, a [philosophy] that recognizes the existence of nature alone. Though secularists they realized that they were replacing on religion with another, for they described their goal as the establishment of the ‘church scientific’. Huxley even referred to his scientific lectures as ‘lay sermons’. 1
“Now, you might ask what the importance of Humanists trying to overthrow Christianity is? And then say that Christianity is bad, isn’t it? Now, I’m only going to answer one of those questions, because the second one is a different fight entirely. To answer your first question however the point is that it was deliberate. Major Humanist thinkers would like the masses to believe that humanism gradually evolved and that it is part of the natural progression of things. And that, dear friends, is a lie. Humanism was created, just like all other religions. A group of people started it deliberately to provide means to an end. In this case the end was the total control of the most powerful nation on earth and most of Europe as well.
“The question still lingers however, is it a religion or is it just a theory?—a philosophy? It’s a religion, and I can show you that it is, if you’ll let me.
“In 1961, the United States Supreme Court is quoted as saying in Torcaso v. Watkins that “among religions in this country which do not teach what would generally be considers a belief in the existence of God are Buddhism, Taoism, Ethical Culture, Secular Humanism and others. 2
“In the Preface to the Humaist Manifesto I and II Paul Kurts is quoted as saying “Humanism is a philosophical, religious, and moral point of view.”3 Paul Kurtz, by the way, is a founder of the Humanist movement. Even their founders admit that their belief is a religion.
“Still, the humanists can’t really be doing all the mean nasty things I said they were doing right? They haven’t really gotten themselves in the classrooms, taken over the curriculum, brainwashed our children and re-written history have they?
“Yes, yes they have, and I can prove it. Should I? Well, maybe I shouldn’t but I’m going to be “intolerant” in the spirit of patriotism and do it anyway. That’s what this class is about. Now, this class is not required to graduate. You can go down to the office and drop it. Or you can expose yourself to another, more than likely completely foreign school of thought.” The professor turned and left; already graying strands of hair making the otherwise beach sand blonde hair a little lighter. His black briefcase glinted in fluorescent lighting. And Emma sat in her chair, a cement block glued her there, the weight of truth, the responsibility it bears weighing on her, and she hadn’t learned anything yet.
