Okay, I'm trying to continue Deception is the Point of Winning (the Adult version), but I've run into a problem...Chapter 9 just doesn't want to go on paper. I'm sitting there starin at it and waiting for inspiration that isn't coming.
I think I know what I want to do (a montage), but I don't know how I want to make the year past quickly...what's important enough to write about, what's not...
I suppose writer's block is the wrong word, I have to many ideas.
Anyone got any tips that could help?

Well I don't know how many tips I can offer, Anime, since I'm currently experiencing a bout of the block myself, but I did read a few articles on Fiction Factor that made some sense to me. I don't know how much they'd help you since they're more about getting motivated to write, and you seem very well motivated just stuck in a momentary rut. In any case, you can always try writing out each of your ideas and then choose the one you like the best (a daunting task, I know, and all for naught as only one will make the final cut). Another idea is to perhaps think ahead. If you have a plan for later on in the story, maybe you should look at that and see which of your ideas best fits the transition. Sorry I'm not much help

It's okay, Idril, I have decided that instead of writing for Deception, I'll write the major (non-Deception) idea that has been bothering me, hopefully when I work that out of my system THEN I'll be able to let the flood gates open on Deception...

That's a good idea. Sometimes it's good to have a few projects going so if you every run into a hitch with one, you can turn your attention to another. Hopefully the juices start flowing after that

you know what's sad.. I think of the best stuff when Im in the bathroom or in the shower- when I dont have a pen and paper ready!
i've suffered a bout of writers block for the last 3 months! now that uni's finished I've been thining up possible endings for my fic and then sometimes it helps to work my way backwards (writing it all in dot points on paper) exactly what you want to happen.
then get on the computer and write about those points (now in chronological order) and write whatever comes to mind. maybe do it while you watch tv to get some last minute ideas?
