A short male with plenitudes of weight stood outside of the tall grey bricked police department. He pulled out a cigarette from the pack out of his nicely threaded Armani suit, light it up with a blue lighter, and took several smokes. His nerves was absorbing the best of him as the wind was blowing his half white half brown hair and wrinkling his pale skin..Out of all the cases he would've been handed with before retirement at the age of 54, he would be blessed with one that would eventually be the most high profiled in almost all fields of history.
He flicked and stomped his cigarette finally walked inside. Numerous queues filled with criminals filing in and people reporting crimes were among the many scenes inside of the department. He took his steps carefully as he headed into the head sheriff's office. Waiting for him was 60 year old head of the department Ray Willberg, himself big but tall barely balded white male.
"Ah,good morning. You must be detective Spade." Mr. Willberg welcomed with embrace. "Good morning.Mr. Willberg. Please feel free to call me by my first name, Calvin."Calvin returned. "Very well then,Calvin. As you have already heard about the incident that happened to Ms.William and the unknown male." "Yes. Been seeing it on CNN all morning. Tend not to watch that channel much but this case clearly got my attention." "I'm glad it did. I'm counting on you and the rest of the police force to get figure what happen." "Well sir, I think that it's highly plausible that this was a robbery attempt that went wrong." "I do too. But we must figure out the identity to see for past crimes. I hope we get to the bottom of this. " "My wishes are the same." "It's great to have you join the team,Calvin.I've heard of your 30 years of experience. You have a very impressive resume. I think you are one of the best in New York." "Thank you for your compliments. I hope to stop by the scene today. I've been waiting for the media frenzy to calm down. From what I hear, she's carrying the child of that famous baseball player. Hopefully, her and the baby will be alright.Last I heard, she started bleeding and they immediately had to stop the blood." "Yes,that's the information that I have been fed, also.Let us review over some things.Would you be fine with that?" "Sure. The sooner, the better."*

Ray Willberg slowly wandered to his office carrying a file filled with large amounts of paper. Sitting down on his desk, he opened the file that contained large amounts of information, including a record sheet filled with previous arrests, charges, mugshots, reports filed, and plenty more of background information.
Layer and layer of paper contained information to a man named Marion Fayard. He was a high legged white male, about 6'3 with a head surrounded with black bushy hair on the top. He weighed close to 260 pounds but not very muscular.
Fayard was the man who was dressed in all black. Police were not too unfamiliar with him, though. Charges of assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft auto plagued him before the event that was being covered by almost every news station in America. Trouble was no stranger to him. He was identified immediately two days after that daunting night due to the files that lay on Willberg's desk.
The crime scene now also has been specified more. Police on Tuesday, October 9th that night received a frantic call from Amari Willmam, yelling in fright that she had just struck a man with hammer. Self defense was the main reasoning behind her actions, saying that Fayard broke into her house when she arrived home after going out to dinner. Immediately, the tall male came from nowhere, grabbed her from behind, and threatened her profoundly. Fayard started striking her from behind with a knife. Two knife wounds were discovered in the back of her hip. He then turned her around and started strangling her. William then grabbed the hammer from the counter and strikes his head as hard as she could, knocking him out. A neighbor then came by, overhearing the various noises from William's home, and led William's outside. When the neighbor realized that the young woman was bleeding she too was ready to call 911,but police pulled into the drive way beating her to the call.
Willberg went through the endless papers and mugshots. The event that night had an aura of a robbery gone wrong. Just before Willberg could entertain the very idea of a theft attempt the phone shouted up a ring that Chinatown could hear. Willberg picked up a phone.
"Hello. This is the New York police department. How can I help you?"
An overdrawn pause soon followed after Willberg's answer.
"Hello?How can I help you?"
Another pause.
Then finally a firm, deep voice arose from the phone's end.
"Is this the sheriff?"
"Yes."
"I, um, have some information regarding the case of a Marion Fayard."
"Ok.And who is this?"
"This is Marion's brother. And I would just like to say that, this wasn't a robbery attempt."
Soon after that statement came another pause. But this time it was Willberg who's lost for words had came upon the conversation.
"What kind of an attempt was this?"
"This was a murder attempt,sir. "
Thoughts raced through the lead sheriff's mind. A murder attempt.
"Yes,well,we found that Ms. William's was acting in self defense."
"That's not what I meant, sir. What I meant was that this was a murder attempt planned to call Ms. William's."
"How do you know this?"
After this question an overflow of unknown details and conspiracy would play a part in the answer. The answer that was not considered before. An answer that at first would seem to some far fetched and complicated. An answer that would stem from over a year of lies and deceit.*

Lavender walls were clustered with people rushing from left to right while he was going through. Claustrophobia was a second away from kicking in. A tall well built man he was, but he was ready to cry like a small child inside. When he finally reached her room, a deep breath arose from him. With flowers in hand, he sat them on the table and joined her bedside.
Tai had been in love with Amari ever since kindergarten, and he never thought a day like this would happen. Not to her. His light brown hands brushed her hair off to the side while studying her now pale face. Bandages were hooked up on her as if she was a lab experiment. Stomaching even the thought of this scene was difficult for Tai to do, but now it was right in front of his eyes.
"Please wake up."he pleaded in a whisper, d**n near mute voice.
They already broken up,but that was no excuse for him. She had came to his house months, and all those visits he had not been oblivious to all the expressions he gave her that hinted there was trouble. Even though they weren't together, there was still something there between them. No way there could not have been. The more visits, the more she confided to him. He should've seen this coming. All of the tantrums he threw. All of the times when the man seemed to be losing his mind. He was the one she told the secret to. And now this. He knew deep inside David had input in this,he could feel it. Sure no one else would figure, just because the gets paid 12 million a year. But he knew.
At the age of 27 she was 5'7 with light skin and shoulder length hair to match Amari laid unconscious on the hospital bed. Hospital beds were not new as Amari's occupation was working at a doctor. But now she was on the other side of the fence. She was one of the elite doctors in New York, studying and working in different fields of medicine. She was on her way to studying for her masters in medication. She was also one of the few African Americans in her hospital, but that didn't slow her down.
Amari was also 3 months pregnant. The news was definitely unexpected, but she was ready to take on the challenge of becoming a mother for the very first time. But that all was hanged on a hook in one night. She has been through obstacles, but this would be her most enormous yet. Her life and her unborn child's was on the line, and it is as if it was treading.
There had been earlier visits by her sister's,who flew in from California, her brothers, nephews, and other countless family members. Out of all the people this could happened to, Amari stood last in the thought process of someone who somebody would try to murder. Known best for being an independent free thinker who worked hard at whatever she sat out to do, Amari was the primitive example of someone who earned her way through the ranks. She was mostly raised in a single parent household. Always had straight A's and determined to achieve her goals.
Tai grabbed her hand and squeezed tightly, praying for a single movement or signed that let him know that she was at least still there mind-wise. He kissed the motionless hand gently as he then began to stroke her soft straighten hair. Prayer after prayer to the Lord himself jogged inside of his mind. Not even when he was out injured for half of the football season compared to this. But as he was on the edge of breaking apart, her hand gently squeezed his, returning the favor.*

"Interesting stuff." Calvin uttered, slightly skeptical of the phone call that was made to the head sheriff a week earlier.
Early 9:00 a.m. Thursday, detective Calvin and Mr. Willberg sat in in Willberg's office, heavily discussing the brother who could possibly become their first witness. But questions arose concerning his liability. The man was, after all, the brother of the man who attempting to commit to be a brutal crime. Not only that, but the brother, named Trent Fayard, carried a lengthy criminal record of his own, which could work against them in court.
Trent Fayard claimed that his brother on the night of October 9 his brother entered the home in the mindset of killing Williams. His brother told him over the phone weeks before that he was to be the hit man in the plan to kill her.
"So his brother claims that Marion was to carry out her murder." "With someone." "With someone?"Calvin echoed Willberg. "Yes. According to him, his brother was the hit man of a plan set up by David." "David Rodriguez?"Calvin said surprised."The baseball player." "Yes. "
Trent Fayard accused David Rodriguez of congregating to kill his pregnant girlfriend. Fayard claimed that his brother received a phone call from Rodriguez asking him to be the assailant in exchange of $23,000. Marion informed his brother this because he asked his brother to assist him, but Fayard declined.
There was no motive though to why Rodriguez wanted Williams killed.
"Well?"Willberg asked. "Well what?"Calvin retorted. "Do you believe him?" "Well, I'm not sure. I mean, if this is true, then why would he come out with this? But then again, his brother is dead." "I think we should meet up with him tomorrow night. It'll give us a chance to avoid the media." "I agree. You think he'll be willing to help us out more?" "Yes. If he decided to come out with this information, he seems like one who is willing to cooperate with us."Willberg stated, confident in his words.
A tall, stout man sat around a white table outside of the Meryl Lynch restaurant. He had to be around 6'4, with tan skin, short brown wavy hair, and stunning looks to match. He donned a white Armani suit that fitted his muscular, almost body builder like figure. His scent was of Cool Water cologne. He had his legs crossed, but they were shaking nervously. He looked around from left to right, obviously displaying signs of paranoia.
Walking out the glass Meryl Lynch doors to sit by him was a pale blonde who had blue eyes. Although she was small in height was very muscular built herself. She sat down in her maroon short Versace dress.
"So I heard you went to practice yesterday. How was it?" she spoke. He didn't answer her back though, only continuing to look shaking his legs nervously.
"David."she said his name, wanting him to answer.
"Rachel, I can't do this anymore! It's driving me insane!" he spoke frantically but quietly enough for no one to notice.
"You know what?!I don't get you sometimes! You whine and complain and you are always frantic about something. Would you please just get over it?!"
"I can't."
"Fine then! You know what?! You promised me that things were going to go back they way they it was again. You told me that. " she said, throwing past words in his face.
"I know! And they will! It's just that...."
"It's just that what?!You're worried about her or something?"
"Well what do you expect me to do?!" David desperately said, wanting sympathy and understanding.
"Get over it. She brought it all on herself, and you know it!"
David didn't respond back.It was useless. Rachel than sat up from the table and threw change on the table.
"I'll pay the tip."she said as she walked away furiously.*
