Just wondering who everyone's been seeing in concert. I have a very small list because I don't go to many concerts, but in the past few years I've seen Anna Nalick, The Feeling, Rob Thomas and The Fray. Before then I went to a few country music concerts that most people on here probably won't be very familiar with. Or I just don't want to admit having seen them. Either one. I'd like to someday see Robbie Williams in concert (shocker!), but thinking more realistically, I'd like to see Regina Spektor (she was here Sunday and did a free show at Border's! *cries*), Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, Michael Buble, Il Divo, Josh Groban and Ok Go. Anyway, who have you guys seen in concert, who would you like to see, and who was the best?

I have seen the Goo Goo Dolls twice in concert and am hoping for a third time in July. Rawk. Then I've seen Nickelback with a few other people up here, and then Fall Out Boy. Also, I've seen the ApologetiX, a Christian parody band about three times, and this weekend will be my fourth. Fall Out Boy was before they were "Sell Out Boy". October 3rd of '05. Some obscure bands opened for the Goo Goo Dolls the first time I saw them, and that was when they were touring with Counting Crows. The second time, my guy friend and I caught the tail end of Augustana opening for them. We were supposed to see Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace when we saw Nickelback, but we were in THE WORST traffic ever, and three other people on this board can vouch for that. People I'd like to see are Josh Groban (I know someone who's seeing him soon, so I can say to her, "YOU SUCK!" xD But have fun), John Mayer, Anna Nalick, and mostly from this list, 30 Seconds to Mars, baby!

Fall Out Boy is pretty good - I can't stand Patrick Stump's style, but he's got a fierce voice. I always get kinda bored with John Mayer, I don't know why. He's fantastic and I have a lot of respect for him, but it's one of those things where I feel like listening to an album is like listening to one long song, you know? I'm sure he'd be great in concert, though. Anna Nalick is so much fun! She'll just start dancing around and she doesn't care if she looks like a dork, she makes the whole concert so breazy and fun. It's awesome. I might get to see Michael Buble in concert in July!! He added a third date in Chicago and depending on how expensive the tickets are when they go on sale, I might just go.

Flogging Molly would be cool! They're pretty awesome.
This is random and a little funny, but I turned on the news one night and there was a clip of two guys playing acoustic guitars in a little Walmart out here in the Chicago suburbs and lo! It was REO Speedwagon... Go figure.

Hm... The only concert I've been to is Kid Rock. His first and only appearnce in Universal. It was suppose to be a 'pg13 concert'. He got through half a song then came to a swear word and said shoot. He turned to his guitar player and said "Did I just say shoot? F*ck this!!" and swore as loudly as possible for the rest of the concert.

So I went to my third Goo Goo Dolls concert on July 29th here in Pittsburgh, along with Raven and Jedi up here. It was awesome. Colby Kelly (sp?) and Lifehouse opened for the GGDs. It was really great to see how the crowd gradually got warmed up and riled up for the Goos. We were all kinda like...."eh, okay" for Colby Kelly, for me mainly because that was the first time I'd heard of them. Then Lifehouse came out and we got a little more wound up because they're a bit more well known and all. For those that have never seen Lifehouse, they are amazing. Sound is a big thing nowadays and I've come across bands that are wonderful in a studio but are absolute crap in concert, they sound like night and day played against each other. Lifehouse sounded exactly the same as on their albums; I was ecstatic. There were the obvious differences of them being live versus being recorded to perfection and all but nonetheless, they were awesome. Jason Wade, the singer/guitarist, was so into the music, and it looked like the entire band was really all about being a band and making good music, you know? So if anyone ever had any doubts about seeing them, take it from me that they are WORTH IT. Goo Goo Dolls, of course, were wonderful in concert. The last time I saw them in February back home in VA, John (singer/guitarist) had had pneumonia. He looked fit as a fiddle this time. He and the rest of the guys were wonderful, very energetic. They played with the crowd a bit, talked with us, and stuff. Honestly, I prefer them live than on a CD. So that's my concert update.
