Hello all, I was checking out some of the new codes available on the proboards support site and they have added an image upload uption to the posting section.
Now when ever you go to start a new thread or post a reply you will see a section labled Upload an Image, and there is a Browse button next to it which will allow you to browse through the pictures on your computer to upload an image. Then you click Host It next to the Browse button. This will then upload the Image to Image Shack and provide you with a url that you can use with the Img tags. Insert the url between the img tags and your image will appear in the post. Simple as that. If anyone has any questions or needs me to walk them through using it the first time just let me know and I'd be happy to do so.
This same option has also been added in your main profile to upload person avatars.

I have a question. Does this option upload your image to a specific account, and how do you go about deleting the image if you want to? Just curious.

Idril, no they do not go to a specific account. You need to keep a record of the direct links so you know where they are saved to unless you just don't care. With Image Shack you can upload as many pictures as you wish without any restrictions. The way it works is that each picture is alowed so much bandwith per day. After you go over that bandwidth then it shows an Image Shack ad. But I have never seen an Image Shack photo go over bandwidth before.
As far as accounts you can get an imageshack account which keeps track of all of your url's for you but it is not something that is necessary to use thier upload service. And as far as the upload buttons on the forum they can not be uploaded to a specific account, and there is nowhere to go to delete the image. Once it is uploaded it is there for life unless they have a server problem and it suddenly dissapears, which I have only seen happen once with one picture. So I just reuploaded the picture and replaced the old link with the new one. Simple as that.
Anime I thought you might appreciate this little function. And I know Wirr was also looking for ways to upload her contest entry too.

Anime, Maybe I'm too tired from my vacation to understand your statement. Can you please explain further, or then again I can wait and read it again in the morning and maybe understand you.
