Summary: What happens when Lily's friends find out her secret?
"You are so beautiful, and this, us, I will never forget, because when we are together, everything we do,
is so unforgettable.” Parker said, and she pushed Lily’s hair out of her eyes. Lily laughed, knowing Parker
couldn’t stand having her hair in her face. Moments later, they met in a sweet kiss that left Parker tingling
as they pulled apart once more. Lily looked at her girlfriend in concern. “Are you okay?” She asked, unsure,
since Parker was her first girlfriend, and she was nervous about being with another girl for the very first time.
Parker hugged Lily gently. “Don’t worry, everything is fine. I know that you are nervous and all, but you don’t
have to be. I like spending time with you. I feel comfortable with you, as if we have known each other forever.”
Lily nodded. “How are we going to tell the others? You know that they might freak out, and I don’t think that
I could handle losing them. Robbie, Ray, and Travis, apart from you, are the only friends that I have.” Parker
kissed Lily. Then, when she pulled out of the kiss a few moments later, spoke.
“If Ray, Robbie, and Travis, are as good as friends, as you say they are, then they will understand things and
won’t hold it against you, that you happen to like girls.” Parker said softly. Lily nods. She got up, a moment
later, and helped Parker off the couch. “Let’s go to Mickey’s, I feel like having a shake. My treat,” Lily, said,
smiling. Parker nods. “Lead the way my lady.” Lily laughed, as she and Parker walked to Mickey’s, and got a
booth. When he walked up to them, asking where the gang was, they shrugged.
“We decided to spend some time alone, you know, girl talk.” Lily said, and Mickey, sensing something else was
going on, nods, and he gently tapped Parker on the arm, “Be careful with this one, Lily is really good at getting
what, (he looked at Parker) she wants.” Then, after getting their orders, he walked away to take care of them.
Parker, who was laughing, looks at Lily. “What was that about?” Lily turned a light shade off red. “Mickey’s the
only one I’ve come out to. Besides you, he’s the only other person who knows I’m gay.”
Parker nodded. “Well then, while we wait, whatever shall we do?” Moments later, she leaned forward and kissed
Lily. Mickey, who was finished getting their drinks, smiled, as he walks up to the table, and setting the girls drinks
down, laughed softly, when Lily and Parker, quickly pull apart, embarrassed at having been seen kissing. Mickey
smiled. “Hey, don’t let me interrupt. I’m so glad to see the two of you so happy again.” Lily muttered a soft thank
you, while Parker laughed at how cute the whole scene was.
When Mickey walked away, Lily and Parker both took a sip of their drinks, and after, they leaned forward, and kissed
again. When this kiss ended, Parker came around the table, and sitting even closer to Lily, they kissed again. When
they pulled apart, Lily heard some gasps of surprise, and when she turned around, saw Ray, Robbie, and Travis. Ray
and Travis looked shocked as could be, while Robbie stood there smiling his face off. Lily didn’t know what to think.
She was so surprised to see all of them there, with her like this.
She looked at her watch, and then at Parker. “I’m really sorry to cut this short, but I promised the guys that I would
help them with their homework. Can we get together again tomorrow?” She asked, getting up, and pulling her wallet
from her jeans pocket. Parker stood up as well. Putting her hand over Lily’s, she said, “I’ll take care of it. Tomorrow
will be fine.” She kissed Lily quickly, dropped some money on the table, waved to Ray, Robbie, and Travis, and then
left. Lily walked up to her friends, and waited to see what they would say.
Ray of course, didn’t disappoint her. “Wow, just wow. I didn’t know you were, I didn’t know, and I have known
you forever.” Lily sighs softly, and she follows behind the guys, as they walk to the radio station. Robbie lingers
behind, to talk to Lily, he hugged her, and said, “Don’t worry Lily, they were just surprised. Give them some time
to get used to it.” Lily nods. “I’m still trying to make sense of it myself.” She said, and followed the guys inside.
As they sat down, and set everything up, Lily felt herself begin to calm down a bit.
Travis nodded, and moments later, they were on the air. “Good afternoon, this is Radio Free Roscoe on 88.1 FM,
I’m Question Mark, and I’m wondering, why is ones sexuality such a big deal? It should only matter to the couple,
and not to anyone else. Anyone else have an opinion on this topic? Pronto?” Ray sighs. “That’s a good question,
Question Mark, and to me, it doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, or bi. You are how you are, and you can’t help
it. No matter what sexuality you are, you are always a person first, and that’s what counts.” Robbie nodded. “That
was nice Pronto. Smog, how about you? What’s your take on this?” Travis stared at Robbie.
“I think that if two people love each other, than it doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, or bi. All that matters is
that you really love the person you are with.” Robbie turned to Lily. “How about you Shady Lane, what do you
think?” Lily felt panicked. “…Well, if you love someone, sexuality shouldn’t matter. We all need someone to love.”
After Lily said that, Travis got up angrily, and throwing his headset onto the counter, walked out, slamming the
door. Ray and Robbie, looked at Lily, who got up, and, she too, left moments later, slamming the door behind her.
Robbie tried to cover things up, since they were still on the air.
“This is Question Mark, and I’m afraid we are going to have to save this topic for another day. The time is 4:30 P.M.
on this Friday afternoon, and to kick off the weekend, we are gonna leave you with the song stylings of Maroon 5,
and their new song, “Not Coming Home.” Robbie qued the song, and when he finished speaking, the song began to
play.
Turning off his headset, Robbie looked at Ray. “What do you think is gonna happen now?” Ray shrugs. “I don’t know,
but I doubt it'll be good.” They both got up, and after the song ended, turned everything off, and got up, leaving. Ray
and Robbie looked around the room. “With Travis leaving, this is probably gonna be the last time we are all together.
It’s too bad that things had to end this way.” Robbie said. Ray nodded. “Yeah, you’re right.” With that said, the two
walked out the door, memories of their first broadcast playing in their minds, as they both walked home.
The End.
