Oh, these are who I hope will die: Ginny...and...*scratches nose* Wormtail.
And the fan fiction...*blinks* there's so much HP fan fiction out there that fanfiction.net has problems databasing all of the ones they get. There's like 1000+ pages. If she did kill off Harry you can bet about 90% of HP fan fic authors will write AU stories in which Harry survives through some miraculous twist of fate (actually I think there is a story called "Twist of Fate"...*sweatdrop*). I would be one of those authors...though I'd probably write that he joined Voldemort.
Come to thinik of it, there are people that are upset about the end of book 5 that write AUs, upset about the end of book 6 that write AUs (I'm upset with that entire book, but then again, who is the first person that I hope will die? Ginny), there's even a contest that I found that is to write an alternate ending to book 4.
If she kills off Harry...she's going to make it worst. (And actually I fear that, if she does so, because I do believe the HP fandom is going to be flooded by...sewage).

I agree, Anime I really didn't like book 6, I was so bummed when it finished up. I want to know what J.K. was on when she picked the pairings. Lupin and Tonks? Come on! It's like she just turned on her computer and picked through fanfictions! But anyway. Non-author sequels are not a bad thing. Somebody (I can't remember who, presently) wrote a sequel to Gone with the Wind that I have, but haven't read yet - and I'm currently reading a book that follows Darcy through the events of Pride & Prejudice, it's fantastically written. Yeah, I think there's going to be a lot of drama if she kills off Harry. I do agree that Lupin will probably go - I forgot he was still alive, actually. She just can't get poor Harry a break. *shakes head*

Hmm... I think Ginny might actually go. I mean, she's put Harry through so much, why not kill off his girlfriend? That aught to put him in an insane murderous rage to kill Voldemort...
Harry's gonner....as long as he takes voldemort w/him...

I actually saw the interview this was from on CNN yesterday morning and was so angry I wanted to spit. Not for the fact that she was killing Harry off but for the reason why. You talk about just being selfish and immature. I keep hearing the phrase "You can't play with that toy. It's mine." It just keeps going over and over in my head.
In 70(I think it's 70) years when the copyright runs out on Harry Potter someone will come up with a story that brings him back to life or something. We all know it will, but that doesn't change the fact that her story will be disappointing for now.

I was mad for the same reason, M. It goes to show she cares more about her name plastered everywhere than for the heart of the story and the fans' expectations.
And she thinks killing characters off will keep people from writing about it? Does she not know the word "Prequel"?

You know, I think someone (when the copyright runs out, which I think is 50 years, actually) is going to write a prequel.
Another idea I had was Lupin and Wormtail end up killing each other. You know he has a silver hand (Wormtail) and that warewolves are allergic to silver. Plus it seems like something she'd do.

Ohh yeah I can see that, Anime. Although Remus would totally kick Peter's you-know-what, because he's awesome like that But yeah, with the silver, I never would've thought of it. Niice!
