OK, if you have them tell us about them! Or even just about animals in general!
For pets... well here's a couple of starter ideas. Is your dog pure bred? A mut? Benefits to having muts or pure breds? Any one even heard of some one with a pure bred cat? Horses, rabbits, ferrets? Goldfish? *You know you've had a goldfish... they're cute little cannibals aren't they?*
And how about your favorite animal in general. Who says it has to be real? Talk from dragons to chinchillas to binturaungs.
So lets talk anything that yips, yaps, yowls, roars or whines!

Allrighty, I'll start this off.
What I do have:
3 dogs, 2 of them are puppies we got a couple of weeks ago. They are Australian Cattle Dogs. Fala and Shasta. Both girls. And we also have a Toy Pomeranian named Wicket. He is a very old and grumpy midgit.
2 cats, both female. Both black. Little Bit is a short hair. And Dream Cat (my daughter named her) is a black persian.
And yes I've heard of pure bred cats. My brother bought a pure bred black persian several years ago. That cat's nose was so sunk into his head I was surprised it could breath.
What I have had in the past:
In my lifetime my family has had so many pets it's hard to remember them all. We have had cats, dogs, chickens, a pig named squeaky, ducks, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, turtles, lizards, ferets, and a very sick racoon that fell from a tree. Not to mention goldfish, guppies, angel fish, sharks and various other swimmers. Oh and let's not forget the thousands of sea monkeys that my parents eventually flushed. (Aren't those things really baby shrimp or something?)
What I really want and will never have:
A monkey. Why don't ask me. I just always wanted one.
What I want but doesn't exist:
Unicorns and Dragons. Oh well, if only in my dreams.
M.

Austrailian cattle dogs... Aren't they supposed to be really smart?
I myself have only ever had two purebred dogs, we addopted one after he had been abused and he was a Dobberman. The other is a golden retiever who is clinicly insane. Currently he's growling at the sun because it moved wrong...
For the most part all my dogs have been muts and I've never had any problems with them.
I've had 3 cats, one deceased *another insane animal, she had OCD and wouldn't stop cleaning*, one unknown, and one who likes to run to my neighbors who thinks she's a godsend. ironically dad named this cat Hell Kitty, after she had stolen the 6th stick of butter.
I have one Horse, Hurry, a pure bread *simply because he was foresale and I loved him* he's older than I am and at the age of 21 thinks that he is a 3 year old. Continually fresh and one of the most well trained horses I've ever ridden. He knows everything and what he doesn't know he'll try.
Fish... well we've had aquariums and if anyone really wants a long term fish, my suggestion is go to your local bait store and addopt minnows... they have freaky long lives and don't die if you want them to. *Dad thought that he'd use our aquarium to store bait in the winter... he never took the minnows back out...*
Pets that don't exist: Gryphons. I really would love one. Or a wyvern, but not a dragon because in my mind they'd be to smart to have as a pet.
Pets that are technically illeagle that I will never get but think are awesome: Red Fox, I don't care if they stink they're so cute! Ligers, oh my god they're HUGE! I want to get one and saddle train it haha!

What breed is your horse, Wy? I rode for about eight years, give-or-take. I quit about a year I have no brain - two years ago. I have one dog, he's the love of my life ;D His name's Dusty (poor thing), he'll be 11yrs old in August. I got him when he was about two months old, he came from a farm in Oklahoma. He loves ice cream and is deathly afraid of thunder... I had two horses at different times in my life, and they both taught me a lot. That's Law & Order LOA (but I called her Lola), she's a three-quarters-Arabian, one-quarter-Saddlebred. In this pic she's 4yrs, it was taken shortly after I got her at an auction down-state. I owned her for about a year before I sold her to a little girl and got.... Luke! Cool Huh was his registered name, but from that came Cool Hand Luke and then just Luke. He's half-Arabian as well, and in this pic he was 6yrs I believe. He was the absolute sweetest thing in the world. I had him for a year before I quit riding and sold him to my trainer. I never showed him or Lola because I was out of town for the show seasons, but my trainer showed Luke and won several classes and a championship. A friend also showed him and she did well - except for the class when he decided to dump her in the middle of the arena. Very nice...

Hurry's full blood Quarter horse out of a Cody line. His registered name is Hurricane Cody, but for the most part we call him for his attitude wihch is Hurry! That horse would be happiest if I let him run until his knees gave out and he broke is wind, but I'm not that kind of rider and he'd only be happy until he realized he couldn't run anymore.
I got him a year ago in september and haven't done much with him. I go to a cutting barn and that's one of the few things the horse has never done. (We know he'd done shows and trails and seems to have done barrels.) Have you ever Cut? *For those who don't know it's not cutting like taking a knife and renching it down your arm. You pick out a cow from a heard and get it to move until it turns away or your time is up. Some people cut patterns where you have to get the cow to move a certain way and compleate a complex pattern from your horse without touching it) My friend's trying to get me to do trail shows because as long as his back is, when he's made to Hurry can pick those feet up and put on a show.
My aunt has pure bread Polish Aribs. They can be a hand full, were yours? I know I work over at her house some times and even though they're hot blooded I'm in love with her gray stallion Will *Haha if you read my story for the contest that's where the name came from because I'm not dating any one so I just pulled my favorite horse (minus Hurry, but hurry's an odd name for a guy)* He's gorgus with a tall back, long stride and longer black main. But other than him I'm not big on arribs, they have too much giddyup and complain when you make them go.
I've heard arrib crosses are good, how were yours?

I'm thinking that yes they are supposed to be smart. They are herd dogs and thier closest relatives are our American Blue Healers. Here's a link to some pics of them a few days after we got them. Oh and we had minnows too. My husband did the same thing your dad did. And sure enough, nothing kills them suckers. But anyway, I thought my animals were stange, but I think your's takes the cake. But the weirdest thing I've seen is my oldest brother's cat. That dang thing is actually learning to speak human. He'll meow sometimes and it will actually sound like he's saying words. You have to understand. My brother talks to this cat like he's one of his kids. He actually has full conversations with the thing. And the cat thinks he's human. One of these days I'm gonna catch it on video and send it to World Funniest Pets or something like that. M.

Well, we're just a strange family, but I've never seen a cat speak engilish .... that's even weirder than Luke casing the sun I think. Haha that's great. I know most hearding dogs are supposed to be inteligent. I've heard really good things about the Austrailan cattle dogs though! My dad's minnow actually ate all the other fish in the tank. I watched as they all disappeared and then dad decided against ever getting more fish so the tank got sold. *The minnow was almost cat food but the cat wouldn't eat it so I think dad killed it or flushed it.*
