EDIT: Here's a lovely mininovel for you all.
Well, my family has had numerous cats, even though my dad isn't horribly fond of them. I'll just tell you guys all about the pets I know that my family, not just I, have had.
My mom had horses when she was a teenager. One was named Budgedeen (sp?), who was a quarter American Saddle-bred and a Tennessee Walker. Budgedeen had a baby horsey named Misty Moon, but my mom doesn't remember the daddy's breed.
My dad had a cat when he was younger and I don't remember what he called it. I'm fairly sure he had other pets, too, but I dunno.
When my parents first got married, they had a Dachsaund named Daisy; a Doberman named Dutchess who saved my mommy's life (my dad is in the military and had to work at the station over night...there was a rapist in the area who my parents and grandparents have always assumed had gone to my parents' house but the dog scared it away); a cat named No (it's fur had the shape of an "N" on one side and an "O" on the other, so they were either gonna call it "On" or "No," and opted for "No" xD); and a Siamese kitten for a few days before the person that had given to them decided to be Indian...
After that, they moved to Alaska with my brother and they had the cat Mikey, who was a Siamese. When they moved back to Alabama and had me, they still had Mikey, who eventually ran off somewhere. My brother had a bunny named Thunder(rrrrr)...you had to say it like that. "Thunderrrrrrr" or he'd get mad. xD I think my brother also had a gerbil in Alabama, but I don't remember. And I think he gave it a superhero name...
When we moved to California, we got a pure bred (I think) Australian Shepherd named Dakota, who was a little mean since he'd been abused as a puppy. We also had a deaf Siamese named Snowball, and then my friend bought me a Russian Blue cat, who I named Snuggles. My brother also had an iguana named Merlin, who tried to eat him. xD It was huge. We eventually gave it to our neighbors down the row of houses.
After that, we moved to Louisiana. We'd given Dakota away to someone in California, so bought another Aussie Shepherd puppy (who we still have now) named Duke. We had just moved into the house when our cat Snowball was sadly run over by a car...though we still had Snuggles (he eventually ran away, though). A friend gave me an adorable Siamese as a birthday present and I named him Koko, but since our animals were indoor-outdoor pets, we think someone picked him up off the street since he was a beautiful cat. We had gerbils, too. Mine was named Sweetie, and she lived the longest...and had babies after a while. Two of them died and my brother kept the third one. His original gerbil's name had been Speedy, but he died, which brought way to Speedy the Second. xD Eventually they all died. My brother and I adopted cats from people down the street. I had a little black one named Rose (she was a runt), and my brother had a white and orange tabby he named Dart (after characters in the game Legend of Dragoon). We also had fist: a dogfish; albino frogs (it was mine; when it died, I wanted to dissect it so we pickled it but my parents eventually threw it out under the excuse of "It's too small" or something like that...); I had goldfish I named Miner (because he had a black spot on his forehead) and another named Goldie (I think); also, I had an angelfish I named Quatre (after Gundam Wing...); a guppy named Relena (also after Gundam Wing); and something else I named Heero (surprise! Still after Gundam Wing); my brother and I had betas, but I don't remember their names. His beta came with us to where we are now.
In Virginia, we had my brother's beta for a while before it died... We still have Duke. My youngest sister had a hampster that would NOT freakin' die for like five years. He looked horrible when he finally did die. His name was Eddie Hamster. Let's see...the cats I owned were: Vicki (a gray mass of fur who was mean as all get out); Cherry and Sawyer, a mother and kitten we adopted from the shelter but eventually gave back because they were sick; and finally I have Nemo, my adorable, lovable black cat with a partial heterochromia in his right eye (his eyes are yellow but in the right one, there's some discoloration where it looks gold; very cool). My younger sister has a cat named Smokey, who is a fat, gray beast. xD Then for a while, my sister had tadpoles, and we named a few of them...Too-tall, Mario, Luigi (guess from where? xD), and a few others...and I swear up and down that Too-tall instigated a genocide where the adult tadpoles ate ALL of the baby ones...he was the first one to turn into a frog...cannibal. But anyway, they eventually were set free at the pond not far away.
And now we also have the coolest beta fish ever named Jupiter. He's got a personality: he'll growl at you as greeting when you walk into the kitchen.
But that's all I can remember about our pet history. xD
