Haha I most defiantly need more sleep, but soon Hurry will be headed out the the barn for retraining and I'll be on break and able to sleep..... *drools* Anchovies are nasty, but has any one here ever had deep fried smelt? OMG it's good. It's like fish French fries. They take the guts out and then leave it whole dropping it into the oils. The fins are the best part. They taste cool and go *Crunch!* They don't taste like pizza but I'm sure they'd be good with ketchup  |

You know, you say they are good but for some reason they just don't sound appetizing. But I'm not really much of a fish eater to begin with.

What do you all think about horse races? Dog races?
Have any of you entered agility contests with you pets? Or a show?

I personally dislike dog racing because usually it's greyhounds. When I was growing up one of our neighbors had a pair of greyhounds, I think they sometimes raced them, but most of the time they played in the half-acre backyard that they had. However, most of the time when greyhounds can't race anymore no one seems to want them, and they are wonderful animals.
However, on the subject of dog races, racing weiner dogs is actually cute because they have such short legs and long bodies.
Horse racing on the other hand...I think too many people put too much time into it...but then again, this is coming from the woman who thinks football is a complete utter waste of time.
As for putting my pets in shows, nope, I never have. I've seen a lot of people do so, but we think of our pets, in my family, as members of our family and to show them at a show feels wrong, somehow, also we've had mostly mutts, and let's face it, who shows mutts?

Ew? Anchovies? That's disgusting. You can have them all. Just keep them away from me, and I'll be fine. I guess. We should start a recipe trading thread. That has the possibility to get interesting. |
