Mage their is an announcement on the announcement board with a link to her website and her new fan-fiction policy. This is a good thing for fan-fiction writers. We are winning the authors over one at a time.

That's a good rule, M, but I have one question: What if all you needed to say was "why?" Like Mage did a few posts back. (I'm not pointing her out, just giving an example.) Thank you!

Um...I'd say, think of something else to say or PM the person "why" instead of just posting. There is never a NEED to post just one word, IMO. One could also explain "why", or whatever the case is.
But that could just be me...

Well in certain cases I'd accept a why response but if you wanted to be safe and avoid the technicallity you could just ask "Why is that?" or "Could you explain why?"
