The following is from: IMDB: Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixStatus: Pre-production Screenplay: Michael Goldenberg Director: David Yates (is a Brit. who seems directs a lot of "made for TV movies and series) Plus, their forum supposidly has pictures of the girls auditioning for Luna. I'm certain they'll do it, they're aiming for release in 2007, though.

Well, look on the plus side, it gives Rowling enough time to get the seventh book out before they need it to write a screen play. ^_^

I never thought about it that way, but yep you are correct. I just hope the book seven isn't totally stupid, going by what 6 ended up as.
I'll still read it though, whether it's good or bad. It'll just give me more fanfiction ideas.

Yeah, 6 came off as bad fan fiction, too me. She tried to "please the fans," but uterally alienated some of us, especially us slash writers. I suppose, though, writing a slash story would totally fall apart, though *sigh dramatically*
I do hope 7 is better and answers the questions, especially the new ones she decided to give us in 6.

Yeah, slash is still such a taboo thing for published writers. I doubt very much if she'll ever include it in a story.
I've never written slash myself. But for the most part I concentrate on friendship and family ties in my stories. I guess I'm getting too old for romance.
Yes the questions in 6 are rather troublesome. And I absolutely hate the idea of Harry not coming back to Hogwarts for his 7th year, but I will read it all the same.

Slash is a taboo for everyone it seems *frowns* I can't believe that we discriminate so harshly against our fellow humans all because they choose to be different. *sigh* I've gotten into this before so I won't rant about it here. BTW, there are some writers that don't really taboo it. The original manga writer/artist for Sailor Moon put in a little femslash/yuri and the anime writers/artists put in some slash/yaoi on top of it.
But she still didn't have to put in a non-slash pairing to really alienate us. She could have just left it alone and let the fan writers have free reign on it.
