Oh my M, didn't see your post. I understand what you mean. I liked Elizabeth so much in the first movie, but in the second you almost lost some respect for her with the way she treated Will. It's like she went from being the strong, modern female in the first film to the mindless flirt in the second. But I still can't really hate her, I think because I'm such a fan of Keira's. I still say Ted and Terry pulled a Rowling, succumbing to all the FanFicers and shippers and giving them the love affair they thought they wanted. But there was no room for that in this story so they tried to give it a purpose with the whole compass pointing to their heart's desire thing. It's like such a paradox, "We've got to save Will, I need to rescue the man I love!....Oh, Jack's looking at me again, giggle...." I guess they really played up the whole "Out of sight, out of mind" thing...

Yep, Idril, you see it the same as I do. I mean if Will was dead it would be different. She would have the right to fall in love again, but jeez the minute she is away from him for three seconds she jumps at another man. It makes me so mad.
I know it's not Kiera's fault and I won't hold it against her. The only film that I hold against her is Domino. But that's another thread.

Yes, and Domino is just an unfortunate mistake (although from what I've seen, she did a good job with the material. It's just that the material happened to be crap...) Anyway. If they wanted a romantic liason, it should've been between Elizabeth and James Norrington. It makes much, much more sense. For one thing, she seemed to be completely disgusted by Jack all through Curse of the Black Pearl. But I'm biased, because yes I do love the HSM Elizington. But she belongs with Will, in the end. And I hope that's how thing work out..

Oh yeah! This is going to be incredible. It'll probably be the most profitable movie of the year. Favorite line of the trailer: Elizabeth: It never would have worked out between us. Jack: You keep telling yourself that, darling. As I guessed, this movie is going to end with Elizabeth and Will getting married... Oh well, us Sparrabeth shippers will still deny it!

Hehehe that was my favorite line, too, and for obvious reasons But we can agree to disagree. At least we have an accord on the fact that the movie will be fantastic! And I love that line, too, because it's a throwback to the first movie. "Elizabeth. It never would've worked between us. I'm sorry. Will...nice hat." Love it! I also love the idea that this movie is really focused on pirates in general, how Barbossa says all the pirate lords of the four corners of the world are coming together to make their last stand. Reminds me a bit of the last X-Men movie It's going to be so impressive, the big battle. I can't wait!
