Ahahaha, yes, the commentary is that funny. There's a few mentions of taping things...

He is currently on my desk top as a calendar...

Emily and I decided that I should make a desktop calendar for every month, with different people on it, so I was gonna try to do that soon and send it to you. So yeah. xP Paul has the honor of January. I have February and April picked out already.
Anyway. Hmm, something related to the topic....got nothing.

Haha, now that I would that, make calendars for every month. I used to use Webshots and rotate them all. The more I listen to Inkheart the more I think Paul is absolute perfect for the role. Oh, and I have to ask, is Helen Mirren going to be Eleanor? I don't know that I can imagine her in the role yet - the character seems very intimidating and I don't feel like Helen Mirren is. Judy Dench probably would have been good for it

Yeah, along the lines of Mirren....she is extremely thin. Elinor in the book is referred to as "the fat woman" numerous times by the bad guys. And yes, Elinor is supposed to be a rather intimidating character, but only because of her personality at first. I was very iffy on seeing Mirren as Elinor; Judy Dench would work very well, though. Elinor's description mentions looking like a bull dog...*chuckles* Not that Judy Dench looks like a dog, really, but I think she would work better. However, I think they were going more so for the whole elegant air that Elinor definitely carries at some points. But if not elegant, definitely uppity. Mirren seems like a very elegant woman.
And with Paul...*sighs contentedly* I found this video on Youtube today there it has some footage of the movie being filled and he walked into view in full Dustfinger garb and all I could do was stare because it really is him to an extent. They've done such a good job with this movie; even before knowing who the actors would be, they did bear vague resemblances to the actors in my mind. Mo had similarities to Brendan, Dustfinger did take on Paul's likeness after a while...I'm very excited about this movie. Dustfinger has such an important role, and there is no doubt in my mind that Paul will do well. I really hope they continue the movies with the books, because I'd love to see him interact with whomever would play his wife in the Inkworld...
Anyway. I'm just very excited over it.

Judy Dench was in the '05 Pride & Prejudice as Mr. Darcy's aunt (long-story-short since I know you don't plan on seeing it: she thinks Lizzie Bennet is far too inferior for Darcy and tries to prevent their union) and she definitely had this persona of an uppity, ultra-wealthy, high-society woman who wouldn't be trifled with. When I think of Elinor I think of Judy in the role of Lady Catherine, but in stead of her station in society that she cares so much about, Elinor puts all of that energy to caring for her books. But you're right about Helen Mirren's elegance; she's probably the most elegant actress I know of right now. I always say it's something in her voice. She really knows how to use her voice.
It seems like fantasy trilogies and the like are all very big in Hollywood right now, so barring any shifting of the universe (or, at least, LA), I think they'll definitely continue with them. It looks like they put a hefty budget on it, with whether it be the cast, special effects (from what I can see in the trailer, definitely), so you kinda get the feeling they did it with a strong purpose and they're not expecting any sort of snub.
I'm at the point in the story when Dustfinger and Meggie have a 'date' in Elinor's yard at 11pm; I'm just dying to know what happens... ;*

Aww yay, that's one of my favorite chapters! "Fire and Moonlight" or something like that. I'm really excited to see how they'll do that in the movie. More imporantly, I'm interested to see if they'll have Paul really breathing fire. That would be sweet! Considering fire eaters and jousts are my favorite parts of Ren Faires. xP But they'll probably just CG it in, since it's so dangerous (if you don't know what you're doing). The last thing they need is for Paul to get some nasty burns...
