Yes I've had that same coversation over leaches or leeches. (Yes I've had leeches in one of my stories) But it was a good thing.
I'll read your journal soon. I'm creating my own right now.

Why didn't anyone send me the petition? I don't know. I sent it to everyone who had ever reviewed any of my stories, and Ely sent it to a whole bunch of people and then it just kept getting forwarded on and on. Ely collected most of the names. mage how did you hear about Novice Writers? Most of the first members were people I had emailed about the petition. And then they told thier friends and so on and so on. In total we got a little over 1000 names on the petition. M.

Who, hoo. I was just informed of a new option over at ffnet. Take a look at the newest update. December 15th, 2005 -- Forum, forums, and your forums. Members that have been with the site since the beginning can reminisce about this forum thing we used to have. Long ago, the site had an official forum per category and the feature was canned simply for the fact there were not enough moderators to tackle the flood of topics and debates.
Forums are making a return with a big twist. All forums are created and managed by registered members. Each registered user can create up to 5 forums. There will not be any official FanFiction.Net forums. All forums are privately owned and moderated by their creators. As with all features, please respect the site rules.
If you have the energy to build and foster a forum community, please login and visit the new forums area. For managers of large C2 communities, forums can be an invaluable tool.
Each forum currently has all the basic features with more, such as "forum alert" and RSS/XML feed, on our to-do list. So this means any member of their site can host thier own forum as long as it complies with thier site rules. I was asked if maybe we here at NW influenced this decision a little. I don't know, but if we did, I say more power to them. Anyway, I'm off to do something productive. M.
