Oh, I love that movie. I absolutely adore it. Then "Notes" is probably one of the best parts. But my favorite song is "All I Ask of You," followed by "Think Of Me" and "Point of No Return." I looooove it. I recommended the songs, any of the softer ones or whichever, to my ballet teacher for our recital dance, and he said, "I am already thinking of a song, but I will definitely see if I can use that as an alternative. That was really great, thank you." So, yeah. We might be dancing to a Phantom song at my recital.

Yes, I find myself singing Notes a lot. It's great. The "Down Once More/Track Down This Murderer" song is all right. I mean, I like to listen to it on the other compy, but I'm a fluff person so I love the love song and the Phantom's song, sheerly because Michael Crawford and Gerry Butler did a wonderful job with him. Whenever I saw the movie the first time in theatres (in a costume, opening day....Yes, I am a geek, why do you ask?), I knew I'd seen the Phantom before. I kept thinking he pulled off the slightly crazed look really well. It wasn't until I checked the cast list that I was like, "Oh DUH!" about him. lol I can play "Think of Me," "Point of No Return," and "Phantom of the Opera" on the piano. They are all a little choppy because I don't play them all the time like I should but I can still play them. Onto another musical movie, who has seen Moulin Rouge? (Note: Moulin Rouge is not suitable for all audiences for, ahem, reasons. Mucho innuendo.) I love the song Come What May (again, I can play it) and I love to listen to the Elephant Love Medley. It's so pretty. I often find myself singing along with dear Ewan. Dang, that guy has a frickin 60+ watt smile!

Phantom is an awesome movie and the music is top notch!!!!! I have the sound track and I'm always listening and singing to it. So much that it annoys my house mates!! How cool is that. lol Moulin Rouge is also a great movie.... i need to see again, i think. I just like most musicals.... i think its so cool and you can sing along to them. I've never thought about playing them...i think the original is the way to go. wirrawong

If you're talking about original sheet music, yes, it is the best. I have an original of "Come What May" and a different, simpler composition.
I was the "After Dinner Entertainment" for Thanksgiving...I played on a grand piano that was in horrible need of tuning. >.<
