Hey all...I'm a musician, a pianist to be exact, and I was just wondering if there were any other people who play instruments out there.
Anyway, if you do, come here and we can discuss certain songs, types of music we play, songs we'd like to play, and whatever else comes along.

Former pianist/clarinetist. I quit clarinet when my band teacher wouldn't let me play saxaphone (which is the only reason I was playing it). I quit piano because I had trouble forcing myself to practice.
As for songs I liked to play. Well I liked to play "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic (clarinet), The Munster's Theme (piano), techno (piano), jazz (both), Mozart, Beatoven (can't spell), and Bach, to name a few things.
My favorite scale is D Minor (I think that's the one I like...it might be A Major, I get all my scales mixed).

I play flute! And my favorite song must be 'Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms' and I don't know where it's from... I got it from my flute book.

Yes, Bach is very fun....I love Prelude no.1 ....It's actually really easy to me, but it's in a Lvl4 book of classical music (the lvl4s are...difficult-ish, even to a 10+ year pianist)
I fell in love with Beethoven's Fur Elise at my first piano recital when I was about six or seven. And just in the past couple of months, I have been working on it. There are still spots where my fingers hit the keys wrong or something, but it's going very well. Then his 5th symphony, the part everyone knows, I love. ^_^ Hmm...Then Gertrude's Dream Waltz is pretty; I love waltzes. They are so much fun to play.
So, I play classical...and I'm trying to find a teacher to give me jazz lessons since a jazz club is opening up close to me. My mom said I could play there, once I'm good enough. That'll be next year, probably, to have enough songs learned and mostly memorized.
Then soundtrack music is so fun...I have so much music from the Final Fantasy games, it isn't funny. There is a big black binder downstairs on the piano that is practically bulging with soundtrack stuff. Then there is another, less-filled binder with random hit music. ^__^ Yay for random music!
One song I would like to play is called "This Year's Love," by David Gray. Has anyone heard it before? It's on that movie Crazy/Beautiful with Kirstin Dundst. Such a pretty song...
I also play the guitar a little, but not enough to get me bread in NY, haha. I'll be a piano lounge player aside from college and working at a coffee shop.
P.S. Great to see so many musicians on here. ^__^
