ok, i won't vote until i get everyone's opinion as to which category i belong to. My parents split when i was 5 but they actually never divorced. and i wasnt told this until last year, how sad is that. the twist is that my father died in 1996, so what does that make me? my family is seriously very messed up, i never knew my father properly and my mum doesnt talk about him, ever. i dont live at home anymore either. so where does that leave me?  ? wirr |

Well wirra, that's a knew one on me. But you'd belong in the dad is dead category with me. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get to know him that well though. My dad could be a royal pain sometimes but I would have never given him up for anything in the world. He passed away a year and a half ago.
You might want to see about talking to some of his relatives to find out what he was like. You never know, he may have been a good guy, but your mom hated him so much that he couldn't come around you much. Information does help sometimes.
